A childhood friend of Walanzo's writes to another friend about the execution:
"...I
spoke with Omar yesterday and he was in the actual execution room by Walanzo
head while he was strapped to the gurney table.
Omar's
exact words were: "Vicki before They came and got him we were laughing
, praying and reading from the Quran, than I stepped out for a moment and
when the security came to get me they said Walanzo was extremely angry ....
I went back into the room he was in awaiting his execution and he was laying
on the bed ..... I asked him was he alright and Vicki they had done something
to him they had tranquilized him he was like a Zombie or something
I continued reading the Quran and this time no response ...... I look over
at him and he could barely keep his eyes open he showed no response on his
face or anything Vicki it was as if Walanzo was a totally different person.
They
had to carry him to the execution room because he was so unresponsive and
when I was
allowed
to be in the room with him they strapped him down tight from the neck all
the way down his fingers are literally ducked taped down and the guard
asked did he have any final words and he said : "There is but one God and his name is Allah and the city
of Oklahoma is making a grave mistake I didn't kill Dennis Hill."
and Vicki the guard said let the execution begin and as soon as
he said that they
began
the IV drip and Walanzo swolled up on one side and gasped and the monitor
which registered his heart rate immediately stopped, the doctor walked over
and checked him and he was dead .
I
looked out into the witness room there was no one other then Walanzo's Lawyer
whom Walanzo specifically told he didn't want to ever see again and one
witness from the prison and that was it none of Dennis Hills family showed
up, and I was left in the room for 5 minutes with the body and Walanzo looked
like a little boy ...... it was a very merciful death a very merciful
death. he was very peaceful and extremely calm but they never was suppose
to drug him prior to the execution I think Walanzo tried to fight them because
they said he was extremely angry. They
tranquilized
him before the execution. Staring at him Vicki you could hear him say
why did they do this to me ? It was a very merciful death it was a very merciful
death but it is so sad so sad ...... that there can be so much prejudice
in the world to Kill an innocent man regardless of how peaceful it was ......
this is truly sad .
Walanzo
was denied a final phone call to his family ...... all of them waited by
the phone in Los
Angeles
to hear from him and he was denied to say good-bye to his mother his brother
and his
relatives
, the last time they spoke was 3 days before the execution.
And Soureh told me that Walanzo said he felt sick after eating his last meal she said he said they put something in his food and it made him sick prior before the execution."
I WOULD ALSO LIKE
THE WORLD TO KNOW THAT WALANZO

ADVISING THE GOVERNOR TO CARRY OUT THE EXECUTION AND OMAR TOLD ME THAT 2
HOURS BEFORE THE EXECUTION THE GOVERNOR CALL AND SAID HE WOULD NOT ENTERVENE
. TRULY IF THIS WASNT A LYNCHING I DONT KNOW WHAT A LYNCHING IS.
This is a letter tracy that I wrote to Patric in Scotland.
Well let me tell you the full story of how I know Walanzo,
Patrick my maiden name is V. Robinson, F is my married name
Walanzo and I along with my brother Waleed all grew up together from Elementry school to high school.
Walanzo has a little brother named Malachi right out the Bible he was named lol
Walanzo practiclly
lived at my house he hated going home , his mother was hardly there she
worked alot, and they didnt have very much of nothing
little food little clothes and Walanzo had no protection against bullies
he couldnt comeplain to a father because there wasnt one in the home at the
time
he couldnt complain to his mother because she was always working Walanzo
was a latch key kid litterally he at a very young age became dady to his
baby brother Malachi at a very young age of 9 - and up he took Malachi every
where he went ....... we would feed Walanzo and Malachi and my brother Waleed
would walk him home which at least 4 or 5 blocks away when night fell
this was almost every day, Walanzo ever since I can remember was always
a kind person, he hid alot of pain in his eyes , even though he wouldnt tell
you that boy was going through hell and didnt know how to get out so I loved
him like he was my brother even though he wasnt I treated with so much love
because I didnt want know one messing with him, and when I heard that before
we even got into Jr. High the crips and the bloods which is an LA
street gang tried to jump him into there little sect I was so afraid for
him and I want him safe out of this city but I was just a little girl about
13 going on 14 with my own family issues.
Walanzo became a blood
but not by his choice you see the reason why my brother who was the same
age as Walanzo walked him home is because between 8th avenue and 11th avenue
people / gangs would litterally kill you Patrick if you wore the wrong color
or if you were in the wrong neighbor hood
I remember a nine year old girl who got shot to death for waring red in
a Crip teritorial neighborhood Crips where blue and bloods where red so
they killed her. And if you saw what you know you saw and you snitched
on them they will kill you last and try to take out your whole family.
So because Walanzo
didnt have any protection he join a gang along with my brother
Waleed he was forced as well, but my mom wasnt going to have that she walked
down the street with her loaded 38 and told them to leave her sons alone
and if she see any one comming to her house that dont look right she's gonna
shoot now'' and ask questions latter. PERIOD.
from that point on my mother was respected and was called Mrs. Robinson
because every body knew she wasnt playin around my mother would protect
her kids at all cost and Walanzo knew this so thats why he stayed at our house
alot.
When I got in high
school Walanzo and Waleed was presented a propersition
to sell drugs and make money or get jumped and disrepected every day for
the rest of there lives , I remember when Waleed my brother was chased
home by a street gang and I asked him what happened and he said he was on
the way home and a bunch of boys said something to him and a friend and
next thing you know they were runing home.
Walanzo was such a nice person very soft spoken, and always never disrespectful even when I teased him he would just laugh at what ever you said about him but if you talked about his poverty situation or his mom or his lack of clothing or lack of food or something that had anything to do with his living situation he gets very very very very un happy and he doesnt say one word but just look into his eyes and you will feel like you have done the worst thing imaginable to your best friend .
I started to become
attracted to Walanzo but felt like dang thats like my brother
but at the same time I loved his shyness it drove me nuts when he would
act like that but I never told him and then as the years passed he started
going out with my friend Felicia and even though I knew I could snatch Walanzo
from her at any given day, I didnt want it to ruin our friendship if we
didnt work out so he married as he got older Felicia and I married another
and as it turned out
with both of our situations it didnt work out but im still married to
the man I met in high school and Walanzo is currently divorced. You see
Walanzo was running away from his problems in marrying Felicia he had not
become a man yet well how could he ? he was never taight how to be a man
he was raised by a woman not a man and that would explain why he was so sinsitive
as a child
his mother and brother was all he had and hardly if any assistance from
relatives ....... his father was around but was at the time a gang memeber
himself how can 2 people drowning help one another ? I always said.
The heart braking
part about this situation is since Walanzo and I knew each other as very
young children age 9 ,what would have happened had I just told him how I
felt ?
well just recently in a letter I finally told him and we alter destiny
so bad when we conceal things because rather then him writting me and telling
me oh V im sorry I thought of you as a sister only, but it was mutual, and
it hurted it hurted really bad because I had both parents my dad and mom
was seperated but my dad always had time for us always up until the day he
died he thought of us and I know had our destinyies crossed we would have
been married even till this day because I dont believe in divorce divorce
is for non - believers not God fearing folk.
I've been married since 18 years old, Ive been married for 16 years come November by the mighty hand of the Father God.
I would really appreciate
if you forwarded a copy of this letter to Walanzo to see if it is ok to
be sent to his lawyer
I ask because Walanzo went through alot more then what I briefly wrote
in this letter and I dont think is he capable of taking a life I know
he isnt unless it was self defence and if that wasnt the case he didnt do
it.
I still have all the letters Walanzo sent up until the very day 3 / 18
/ 03
we spoke on the phone dailey for hours until 11pm at night every day,
I wish
he could have lived even if it meant life in prison he should have not
been put
to death because he refused to sell out the actual killer so they tried
him instead thats not right , They blocked my phone on the execution day so
Walanzo couldnt call me but he promised he would get to say good bye to me
no matter what and he did ....... He sent 4 message to me by phone through
individuals up at the prison I appreciate that so much and I tried hard
to get that block off my phone and the security even agreed to remove it
he was so nice but it wasnt removed in time and Walanzo sent a message saying
that he
got my message about the block and it being removed but if it wasnt removed
in time to always know that he loves me and has always cared for me since
we were kids. The block wasnt removed in time and he was murdered I want
everyone who reads this to note that when an execution is carried out they
cannot place executed on the death certificate they must right HOMICIDE which
means MURDERED this should make you think as it made me think each doctor
takes a hipocratic oath to save lives not to destroy them, Also why do
these prison say Blank Of Corrections ? When the inmate is Corrected with
a new found way of life by the limitations placed on his life and great
humiliation
like a child banneded for life to his room / cell instead of lifting
the grip of restrictions due to the common knowledge that it takes 28 days
to brake a habit
surely after 14 - 20 years on death row all habits of harm are purged,
but rather over turning the death sentence to life in prison or allowing the
indidual to pay restitution to the victims family in place of that son or
daughter lost the Correctional facility becomes God '' to decide
who lives and who dies even against the wishes of the victims family meaning
now the law has taken upon its self to decide for us what is best decided
for us THIS IS WRONG and against our Civil Right and against the Constitution
and the Declaration Of Independance if this country was founded on Godly
principles and I believe in the begining it was at one time , God said to
let the thief still no more but to labor with his hands and to pay for what
he has stolen 100 % How can he pay if he is dead ? and how can he restore
if he is dead ? There is but one God and one judge and he judges swiftly
and righteously his judgement is holy and true against those who worrie and
oppress his people.
