SHE IS GONE
A Poem By Dennis Emerson, Death Row, Illinois

Each day I find myself thinking of you with such ease,
Without your love I just would not be able to breath.

Your love has made me appreciate nature where I can hear all its sounds,
Especially the bautiful notes from song birds that fly all around.

I wake up with the smell of fresh flowers, and the beauty of morning dew.
I'm more at peace with myself and nature, all that is missing is you.

I can't stop myself from being lost in our love and all the wonderful times,
Its just so nice to have your soul & spirit, me, us, weighing heavily on my mind.

Each day I give thanks for all the beautiful things you manage to do,
When I visit the place where you rest, I give thanks for you, still being you.

                                 GONE, BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN !
