This is the death row that I know. 
Where a man sits in a cage day after day
and watches his life waste away
And he thinks back on a life he once
had, where times now don't seem so bad
thinking of all the Love he had.  But drugs
surely clouded his view and ruined
his life and others too.    --Ronald Clark

                                            Life as I see it
                                            surely can't be
                                            the way we live
                                            life back here unfree
                                            for this is truly
                                            not a life and
                                            anyone can see
                                            that life back here
                                            just ain't meant to be

                                        I sit on death row
                                        day after day
                                        and watch life waste away
                                        my hopes and dreams
                                        are surely gone
                                        My heart feels as it
                                        turned to stone
                                        my mind is slipping
                                        but not quite gone
