Letter From Robert Edwards, July 30, 2001   (For His Website)

:-)  This past June 14 (2001) I turned 40.  I am White / Honduran, 5'10", 185 lbs.  Born in Long Beach, CA.  Have travelled all over Central and South America, lived in Hawaii for a few years.  I was an avid Scuba/ Freediver.  I love the ocean, hiking and camping.  I have a 16 year old son.  Been in for 9 years.  I enjoy writing both short stories, poetry.  I also draw a little bit.  Wildlife is my favourite subject.  I love to exercise both my body and mind at all times.  I am looking for someone to be my eyes and ears to the outside world.  Someone to help me hold onto my sanity through their friendship when I struggle.  And vice versa.  A burden too heavy for one can easily be carried by two.  I am open and honest.  Game playing is not for me anymore.  I'm beyond that and sincerity is a must for me.

Enclosed are some of my works (see links below).  One is a story that I submitted and it was printed.  The title is "Down and Out."  Also here are two of my poems.  I just started doing them, but its the mess. that I am trying to get out there.  Also enclosed is a photo....the photo is my only one...

I don't know if it would be too forward to put on that postage would be helpful.  I don't have anybody or any money coming in...I'm allowed to recieve photos and enjoy receiving them.

Here on San Quentin's Condemned Row we can get :  photos, printed material, US postage and US money orders.  No books, magazines.

...Thank you both for caring about us.  It means a lot to me to know not everybody agrees with this countries'  way of doing things.  Take care and I hope to hear from you soon.
