Dear Society of North America,

This letter concerns a serious matter and is addressed to those that are out there who care enough for human life to reach beyond the horizon and try to save one.  It requires the kind of love and compassion for one that makes you want to become the one to make a difference in someone else's life.

I am speaking of a 26 year-old African American ran whose life is, and could be in great danger.  His name is Randolph Mansoor Greer, and he has been incarcerated from society for nearly six years for a capital crime.  Arrested at the age of 18 and convicted at the age of 19, Mr. Greer's chances of life have already been denied.

Stripped from his loved ones, his rights and his future dreams, the odds of him escaping the death chamber that awaits him has already been set against him by many within the judicial system.  Due to a robbery of a place of business that tragically resulted with a man being murdered, an incident that occurred years ago, may very well cost Randy his own life one dark day.

Sentenced to death by lethal Injection for the crime that he was convicted of committing by an unjust racial and biased jury who knew nothing about the young, dark hued face that had sat before their very eyes for nearly 3 weeks. That very young face that was sent away to be destroyed so happened to be that of Mr. Greer.

After such a short embrace from the soft skin and arms of his then, one year-old daughter, for what; could have been the  very  last  time,  he  was  lead  away in handcuffs and leg irons.   And  so after  many years  of  pain  and agony,  abandonment  from many  and the long suffering in the hearts  of others, his daughter is one of the only things that is left in his life that is  precious and special to him.

 As a father, he still attempts to  accept all of his  responsibilities  of seeing to the needs  of  his child; even from the slaughtering  camp of  Death  Row.  His  daughter is now 8 years old and over the past couple of years, they  have developed one of  the strongest and most beautiful father  and daughter  relationships ever.

In  the  6'x 9"  cell that  he is confined to  for  22  hours  a day, she sits high above on the wail that faces the East,  in a crafted wooden picture frame.   Just the very same way she  resides in his heart!   When he awakes in the morning, she is on his mind and as he lies his  head down on his pillow to rest at night, he  hugs  and kisses her good night.  He has a strong will and his desire to want to make it off of Death Row here in Texas, alive in the hope that maybe one day down the road, he will be able to embrace her once again in his arms and never let go.  This desire is growing stronger for him and in her heart everyday as time continues to pass them by.

But none of this will mean them any good in the end without the help and support of all of you to make it happen.  As it now stands, he is without an attorney of his own, as well as a strong support from the outside world. Please help him in making that difference.  Time is of the essence for him, and it has its own way of proving itself to of just how important it has become for him and his situation.  He has very little time to waste from here on out.
