Sometime during the late evening hours of Monday September 26, 1988,  two people, a girl  and  her cousin, were attacked in a field located between the back of a Fuddrucker 's Restaurant and the back of two apartment complexes.
Mr. Hughes was arrested on Tuesday September 27, 1988 and charges of Capital Murder were filed against him.

MR. HUGHES' CONSTITUTIONAL  RIGHTS TO A FAIR TRIAL UNDER THE DUE
PROCESS  OF LAW WERE DENIED.   THE JUDGE,  PROSECUTOR, POLICE AND COURT-APPOINTED ATTORNEYS, APPOINTED TO REPRESENT HIM AT TRIAL, CONSPIRED TO CONVICT HIM WITH THE USE OF A SERIES OF "ILLEGAL"  MANEUVERS SUCH AS:
MANUFACTURED AND FALSIFIED DOCUENTS AND PERJURED TESTIMONY BY AND FROM AUTHORITY FIGURES AT LARGE.

The knife seized from Mr. Hughes' apartment which was introduced, by the prosecutor, and admitted into evidence as the alleged murder weapon was tested in the courtroom, on Tuesday May 02, 1989, by a Forensic Expert who performed a chemical analysis on it.  The results of the chemical analysis revealed the knife tested  "NEGATIVE FOR HUMAN BLOOD, POSITIVE FOR ANIMAL BLOOD".

Mr. Hughes' "WRONGFUL CONVICTION" was REVERSED, by the TEXAS COURT OF CRIMINAL APPEALS, and thus counter-reversed and affirmed, by the State, due to a TECHNICALITY.  He is currently being misrepresented by another court-appointed attorney who is conspiring  with the State of Texas to "WRONGLY  KLIL"  him  in their attempt to coverup the fact the police "FRAMED" him.

Mr. Hughes is now forced  to  prove his  INNOCENCE and right this miscarriage of justice by appealing to you for emergency assistance.  He is in need of funds to finance an attorney, who has no obligation to the State of Texas, to file further appeals containing issues of his actual INNOCENCE.  These issues must be raised on the State level of his appeals, otherwise they will be forfeited and he will not be allowed to raise them in Federal Court.  The only way Mr. Hughes will be able to have these issues essential  to proving his INNOCENCE  raised is by and through a hired  attorney.
