Well, as you can see that my name is Pedro S. Sosa, Execution Texas Number 000778, I am a mexican American. I was born in Donna, Texas on 12-27-51 I am 47 years old at the present time. I am 5'9" tall and I weigh 220 lbs. I have black hair and dark Brown eyes. I have all the Spiritual help I need at the present time, what I really need are true and honest friends whom will not try to pull Our Lord God out of their pockets when asked for a few dollars. I am not looking for anyone so I can misuse their kindness and trust. If I tell you I need funds for this and that I will be willing with all my heart and trust to present you with evidence for what I need the funds for, I will not ask for anything in a blind manner nor will I ever lie to you.
I would like to make a request for a penpal or more ? Also I would like to let people around the world know that I am an innocent death row inmate, I have been sitting on Texas Death Row for the past 14 years, all because I do not have the money to hire investigators and experts with which the Courts have denied me since my Arrest. I was set up by my nephew Leroy Vargas Sosa, whom was a drug addict since he was twelve years old, but his addiction problem was hidden from my Trial Attorney and the 14 people of my jury, and Leroy supposedly had given a confession, and wrongfully placed someone else's blame on me. I find it hard to believe that my nephew gave a confession, as I was tried and convicted and sentenced to death with fabricated documents such as a Confession which is forged with my initials and signature, and my Miranda warning rights were never read to me on the night of my arrest which was Feb 4th 1984 and never were until Feb 21st 84 before taking a lie detectorr test on that date. I was also set up by, the trial judge, District Attorney, FBI, The San Antonio Police Department and by the one and only State's testifying witness Charlie Esparza. And Texas Ranger Al Cuellar. At the time of my arrest I couldn't even read a first grade book, not even a single line on a first grade book, but yet the State made the Jury believe that I waved my Miranda right willing, knowingly and intelligently ! And a federal Miranda warning Form was forged with my name and used against me at my trial. I did not learn to read and write till I got here at the Texas Death Row at the Ellis One Unit. Everything the state used as evidence against me was fabricated. But I couldn't prove anything because the Courts denied me the funds for experts and investigators. And a co attorney. I also have an affidavit from one of the 12 jurors that convicted me stating that the Trial judge whom was his life long friend told him to lie his way into my jury panel to help him the judge send me to death row, but none of the other judges are willing to listen to this. Fingerprint evidence was also fabricated to ensure a conviction. I can prove that, with financial help for an investigator ? The one and only state witness whom claims that he saw me Pedro S Sosa on the morning of the robbery and Murder has changed his story 3 times already and two of these times are on the trial transcript, but yet my court appointed attorneys are under paid and do not have the time or whatever it is that has kept them from looking into these facts either, but I have made copies of these documents for anyone whom is into these facts either, but I have made copies of these documents for anyone whom is really interested in helping me. I have no reason to lie to anyone, nor hide anything from you.
Well I hope I will hear from some true and honest friends whom can and are willing to help me. If you are really against the death penalty, then this is another case you should look into, so you can have evidence to prove that the death penalty is wrong, because only the poor are always being set up and wrongfully tried and wrongfully convicted and sentenced to death. God bless you, and thank you for your time. Please write. I am begging for your financial help large or small.
Yours
truly,
PEDRO
S. SOSA
Important Notice - Cash If You Can Help
Hope S. Escatel,
Sister of Texas Death Row inmate Pedro Sosa #000778, is willing to pay
$75.00 US for 6
pictures of a 1981 Chevy Impala, 2 pictures have to be of the TAIL
LIGHTS,
2 pictures have to be
of the driver's side of the 1981 Chevy Impala showing that its a 4 door
Impala and the MOST
IMPORTANT 2 pictures needed are of the inside of the back part of
the car without the
back seat on it, both pictures are needed of the very same side of the
back of the driver's
side. The state fabricated a few pictures of the back seat at the
driver's
side top corner being
bent in and a false cop's testimony that tghe top corner of the seat had
been kicked in from
within the trunk, and that is not true because there are no holes on the
part of the seat where
it was pulled in from inside the cub of the car. And Hope is also
willing to pay another
$75 US for the very same pictures of a 1981 Chevy Malibu 4 Door ?

NEWS ON THE STAY - From the San Antonio News-Express
Pedro
Sosa, the San Antonio man convicted in the 1983 murder of a Wilson
County sheriff's deputy, has been granted a stay of execution just 3
days before his scheduled death date.
Sosa,
47, was handed a death sentence in 1984 for his role in the Nov, 1983,
kidnapping and murder of Deputy Ollie "Sammy" Childress.
Judge
Olin Strauss of the 81st District Court granted the stay of execution
Monday morning. Sosa was scheduled to die Thursday. The convict's
attorneys had requested the stay and are seeking a new trial.
This
is the 3rd time Sosa has received a stay of execution, which
disappoints Childress' family.
"I
think it's terrible," said Joan Childress, the deputy's ex-wife. "I
can't believe they're doing this."
Sosa's
current defense attorneys have argued through appeals that the FBI
concealed evidence for more than 15 years that would've aided in his
defense and that he should be granted a new trial.
Attorney
Cynthia Orr said she was relieved by Monday's ruling.
"I
hope that this means (the court will) get a chance to look at all the
undisclosed evidence," she said. "I'm waiting to see, and I'm hopeful."
Childress
was killed after a bank robbery.
2
men flagged down the 55-year-old deputy while he was on duty. He was
handcuffed and placed in the trunk of his patrol car while 2 masked men
robbed the La Vernia State Bank of $51,038.
One
of the men, later identified as Sosa, wore Childress' shirt and badge
during the robbery and told tellers: "I'm the damn sheriff now. I've
got the sheriff in the trunk of my car."
After
the robbery, Childress, who still was in the trunk, was shot twice in
the neck with his own .44-caliber service revolver.
Sosa's
nephew, Leroy Sosa, who was 17 at the time of the crime, pleaded guilty
to robbing the bank and told police his uncle shot the deputy because
he'd seen Sosa's face. The nephew got a life sentence in exchange for
his testimony.
In
an interview earlier this month in the Ellis Unit near Huntsville, Sosa
denied involvement with the kidnapping, bank robbery or murder. He said
his nephew implicated him because he didn't want to take responsibility
for the crime.
Sosa
also says law enforcement officials forced a confession by threatening
him and his wife. He says at the time of the crime he was working in
San Antonio, delivering equipment.
Sosa's
2 other execution dates in 1987 and 1993 were stayed because of appeals.
