We are now in the cold season and I
do not know how to survive under the adverse perilous plight of hunger
crisis and being tortured by coldness.
My situation is very bad, I am entangled
in a web of calamities that are just too burdensome to carry.
My offense is of murder, and these occurred after a fight. With a lawyer I was supposed to be charged and convicted under the offense of man-slaughter which carries a sentence of 1 year to 5 years maximum.
Imagine-I was apprehended on 6th Sept. 1985. Convicted and sentenced to death on 11th July 1986. My appeal both against conviction and sentence was dismissed on 20th Feb. 1991.
I have seen many inmates set free because
of their financial muscles. But I have no one to help me and am in
despair after 16 years in this terrible place.

The above request
was sent to us via the teachers of a Bible Course in the UK.
They are the
only people in the world that Patson is in letter contact with, and
they contacted
us, at Mr. Chibele's request, in the hopes that CCADP members
would be able
to help Mr. Chibele and other Zambia death row prisoners with
immediate urgent
needs. (Bedding, shirts, shoes, funds for these items etc.)
Note
from Mr. & Mrs. A. D. Lucas, UK teachers, Bible Study Course,
about Mr. Chibele:
"...We have made contact
with a Mr. Patson S Chibele in a Maximum Security Prison in Zambia.
We are the only contacts
he has in the world - we mark a Bible Correspondence Course...
The poor man is so desperate...I
extract a few sentences from his May letter to us
(see above). ...He has a
wife and three children who do not have a husband and father to
cherish and feed them.
This is a great agony to him. We did send him a little money so
he now has a shirt, trousers,
shoes and writing paper and stamps. But we are pensioners
and are helping quite a
few other of our students also in desperate need.
The brightest news is that
he loves the Lord and is growing spiritually from glory to glory.
Will YOU be the answer to
this dear mans prayers? Sincerely - Mr. & Mrs. D Lucas."
