CCADP Death Row Inmates Webpage Outreach

The CCADP would like to encourage all who receive this email and who correspond with Death Row inmates in the US, to print a copy to send to their death row pen-pal to pass around to other inmates. Please only send requests that are made by the inmates, we don't wish to put inmates online who are not aware of us doing so.

                                       FREE WEBPAGES & PENPAL REQUESTS
The Canadian Coalition Against the Death Penalty provides free webpages on the internet to death row inmates as well as putting up individual pen-pal requests on our pen-pal requests page (each state has a page of penpal requests ).   Being on the internet allows you to have a forum which lets people all around the world see information on yourself or your case from their personal computers at home or at work.

There are 2 options to choose from . . .
1.     We will put up pen-pal requests for inmates who wish to write to people on the outside, we just request you send us an outline of what you'd like to say to possible pen-pals, a little about yourself, your address and prisoner # they can write to you at. If you have a photo of yourself please send it also. (We'll send it right back.)

2.     If you have more than just a pen-pal request and would like to have your own webpage we can do that as well, although it may take a bit longer. (We are 2 people out of our home in Toronto, Canada-we do as much as we can as quickly as possible.) Some people choose to use the webpage to bring attention to issues in their case, and we have several wrongfully convicted inmates online with information about their case which has got them international support in some cases.  Others use the web page to put up copies of their, artwork, poetry, stories, etc... or even just things they want to say to the world. We also can scan photo's to put on the internet and will return the photo's immediately after we've done so.
You should be aware that our webpages get alot of viewers from the media, students doing projects, as well as anti-death penalty and human rights activists worldwide.

ALL OF THESE SERVICES ARE FREE TO DEATH ROW PRISONERS !
Why ? . . .     It is our intention to bring the real faces and cases on death row to the publics attention.  It is too easy for people to say they are pro-death penalty and never really know the reality of what this means.  We have had, for the most part, an extremely positive reaction to our pages,  and many of those featured have made new friends as well as gotten media attention, in some cases investigatory help, and financial assistance (don't get hopes too high in this regard, but it can happen once you make connections and are communicating with
people in the world who care.)
If you are a death row inmate  reading this in prison, take down our address, get a stamp and send us your penpal request OR webpage material (or both) and pictures.    Then pass this note on to other death row inmates and . . .    GET THE WORD OUT !

If you're on Death Row - There is NO cost to you ever  ! . . . and the pages will remain on the internet forever unless you tell us to remove them.   The best to you all,  just remember the eyes of the world are watching now and you haven't been forgotten, any of you !

If you're on the outside and you're a human rights activist or other concerned citizen, organization who supports this important work, please consider a small financial donation towards our expenses such as the internet, stamps and mailing expenses to communicate with inmates, long distance charges, etc. . .  which are currently paid personally and out of pocket. Donation checks to support the webpage outreach can be made out to "Canadian Coalition Against the Death Penalty". . .
International money orders are recommended, though we also accept personal checks.
