Poetry By Nicholas Acklin
"As Time Goes By"
As time goes
by I think of how far
we've come.
The love we share and all
the things we've
done. Through the good
and the bad you've
stood by my side
and I want you
forever in my life.
Through the trials
of Iife I wonder why
don't they all
just end and pass us by.
Things so right
and things so wrong. The
love we share it
keeps us strong.
I searched the
world round and
round and you're
the treasure that I found.
I want to hold
you close, close to me.
I promise to never
let our love go free.
So when times get
hard for me to
bare, I'll close
my eyes and I know
you'll be there.
A vision so beautiful,
loving and sweet.
I'll close my eyes
and I'm fast asleep.
Cause you're my
girl and I'm your
guy and my love
will go on as time
goes by...
With love, NICK

I enjoy
hearing from people on the outside. I'd like to share with pen
pals
about my feelings
on life, The death penalty, and life inside and outside prison
before I came to death row. Most of all just having someone to communicate
with. I'm a 27 yr. old man from Huntsville, Alabama... I caught
my case in September of 1996, and I've been on death row for 4 months.
I enjoy music, sports, and life in the country. I look forward to being
in touch with pen pals. I am also a diabetic and I'm looking for any research
done on diabetic shock. I am hoping that you can place this on the website.
I'm hoping to find information about the symptoms of a diabetic experiencing
diabetic shock and / or the responsibility of a diabetic experiencing diabetic
shock. It is my belief that this is a point that should have been brought
out in my trial proceedings and I'm trying to gather as much information
as I can in hope to get my case overturned. This is a sketch drawing
of myself I drew from a picture in the local newspaper. This is the
closest I have of a picture of myself. I like to be called Nick for
short, for now take care and God bless...
