The pilgrimage
to the most Holiest Shrine in Islam is an act of pure
worship and reaching towards Allah
(SWT). I haven't had the experience of
haj, but I've studied some beautiful
works on the subject and my imagination
lets me see the spirit of haj.
To further illustrate this, it may be stated
that the performance of haj is a simultaneous
show of may things, it is a
show of creation, a show of history,
a show of unity, a show of the Islamic
Ideology and a show of the Ummah (Islamic
Community).
When we return
to our homelands, do we even remember why a few million
of people observed the delay in MIna,
in the valley? Let us suppose that
after we returned home, that we shared
our blessing of haj, and allowed
time to thik about haj and continue
to live out that spirit. To gather,
Muslim thinkers, intellectuals, and
freedom fighters from the various Muslim
Communities to discuss our problems
of colonialism, oppression, poverty,
ignorance and corruption in our communities,
we must get to know each other,
so we can discuss our problems and
find solutions and ask for help. We are
supposed to be studying the dangers
and conspiracies of the super-powers
and their agents who have infiltrated
Muslim nations and communities. We
should make resolutions to fight against
brain-washing, propeganda, disunity,
heresy and many other diseases threatening
the unity of Muslim nations.
We must offer
a common struggle to introduce Islamic facts and support
the cause of freedom from colonial
powers, who are under the torture of fascist
regimes as well as prejuduiced political
groups. Through a system of co-
operation and understanding and an
exchange of views and feeling, the Ummah
would be strengthened in their struggle
against the common enemy.
Our duty is
to spread the message of Islam with the example of Prophet
Muhammad Bin Abdullah. His example
is a successful method of solving all
these current problems which threaten
to destroy human civilization in our
time. Our struggle is the Islamic
struggle which will benefit humanity.
As I've stated before in other writings,
we must educate, build, and support
the growth of Godly communities regardless
of race, religion, gender, etc.,
etc. Champion the cause of the
oppressed, speak justly and contribute to the
positive "effect" of others in developing
their lives. Prophet Mohammed
(Pbuh) who made conscious and intellectual
people responsible for carrying
his message, they are to establish
an "exemplary society" based on mono-
theism and to support the cause of
knowledge, leadership, and justice in
human life. Keep with the spirit
of haj!
