the inmate in Arizona blamed for improper use of the inter net resulting
in the
Arizona Law and pain
and embarrassment to many of his supporters has asked me to inform you
of the true circumstances and would ask that you pass this information
on to insure full coverage.
The center of this is
an article by Robert Philips from APB on Feb 9, 1999 which was full
of erroneous information.
- A friend of Michael Correll
MICHAEL’S case is
still in the courts and he could very well be proven innocent.
The nicknames given him
by the press i.e. Casanova and Fabio are creations of the over zealous
press. Never has Michael approved of these. In fact he is a very
private person and was hurt by the comparisons.
This article was an attempt
to deal with bad publicity the state has received from the world for it’s
many cartoon attempts to force prison issues and their bazaar view on criminal
punishment. They had at one time a direct link to ABP from the prison
web site. If Michael is named executor to an $800,000 estate legal
or illegally earned -it’s news to him. Attempts have been made to
verify that and at this point there is no evidence of this. But it
was a quoted statement in the original article made by Phelps. This
is centered around a 1995 execution and Michael should have been informed
by now if that were the case.
Michael is particularly
angered at the quote about pink elephants as he in fact has never met Phelps
and had he, that fact would have been in prison records.
The idea that he was the
center of a shrine is a matter of opinion and in fact a personal right…..and
in all probability an exaggeration used by investigators. Most “religious”
or even just family would do the same. This could be seen as a cruel
mockery of a person’s personal and religious life.
Recent investigation has
proven that the $12,000 fund mentioned was never a reality as far as being
in a defense fund because of manipulation by investigators rather
than Michael.
Pen pals are usually aware of the game and intend themselves to write to as many others as they can. Signing a letter with I love you or what ever is hardly strange in a pen pal relationship.
Arizona Republic newspaper
has articles that seem to show this state is out to execute Michael Correll
NOW ...…no one wants an innocent man that has spent 17 years in lock down
to tell his story….especially when there maybe plea bargaining…states evidence…..police
whatever ……involved. I’m not saying that is or isn’t Michael’s case.
But you may learn that is .
Michael refused an interview……If
this is an example of what they would have written wouldn’t you deny
one as well?

Mike's Pen Pal Request
Hello, my name is Mike and I have
been on Death Row in Arizona since 1984. I was wrongly convicted
of murder on the evidence of one man who was drunk and high on drugs,
and testified that I was involved in a robbery in which three people were
killed and another wounded. I was brought here
when I was 24 years old and can barely remember what it feels like to be
free. I haven't seen stars or a sunset (things most people take for
granted, or simply ignore) in all that time.
Sometimes I wonder if things like that
even exist anymore. This life is a very hard and lonely one
and I seek anyone's help, anyone's caring, and anyone's support.
Because I am sentenced to death, I'm kept locked in my cell and only
allowed out for three hours a week to exercise and shower. I can
have no physical contact with others and cannot work to earn money
for stamps, store, etc. They make the situation as hard as possible
to survive. Please write if you have a sincere and caring heart and
wish to bring the light of day into my life. I like drawing, most
kinds of music, Harley Davidsons, reading books. I love all
animals and nature. Please keep in mind that I have no direct access
to computers or e-mail. You may also send mail to my address.
