A reflection on capital punishment by Luther Williams . . .
My thought is about the death penalty, in most cases are not capital crimes.
The law requires the State to give the accuser equal representation as the State-Federal Prosecutors have. But most Capital cases in the south-around America is not death penalty cases, but are made out to be, by police-prosecutors to get media attention and politician gang, which makes the justice system of righteousness look very unjusticed.
The lawmakers give prosecutors the right to break its own laws that citizens should respect. The prosecutor lies, hiding evidences, distorting facts, engaging in cover-up's, paying for perjury, making deals with accusers, framing innocent people who have arrest records to win indictments, guilty pleas, conviction.
In most cases people who are POOR-has no support backgrounds.
The lawmakers give "Special Counsel Kenneth Starr" $14 million dollars
to investigate President B.Clinton, the same lawmakers in the State of Alabama killed a Bill on May 8, 1998 for the poor not to have good representation in Capital cases, which will scare away good experienced lawyers from such cases. This State is the "Very lowest" in the Nation, and then cut out the Capital Resource funds for the Capital cases appeals.
Alabama court appointed lawyers get $1500 to handle all death penalty cases, of that $500 goes on the investigation-expert thereof.
I think the criminal laws of death penalty cases should be teached in all education systems nationwide.
I think citizens who sit on Capital cases should know how to weight aggressive-mitigation circumstance against the accuser.
I think victims need to communicate with the accuser to find out the truth about thereof, but prosecutors don't want that to happen. WHY ?
WHY do American's have a jury system, when judges override jury's judgment in death penalty cases ?
Because most judges are ex-prosecutors and still favorable toward the prosecutor's family and politician gang.
Almost every judge-justices-politician who leaves office knows that the death penalty is by all means BARBARIC-UNJUSTICE.
I think capital punishment should be seriously ABOLISHED.
