April 6, 2000 - To whom it may concern:

This is a rather hectic time in my life since I am on Death Row for a crime that I did not commit. I am endlessly searching for a Pro-Bono attorney that will handle my case, but this is not an easy task since I am incarcerated. I have no close family members to help me in this matter. In this facility the prison officials have hindered us from using normal ink pens and pencils and this makes it hard to communicate with people on the outside. Being in my situation it is extremely hard to maintain. We were once allowed the priviledge of having a radio, but the rules have changed and we must now send them home. Many cover-ups are going on here. At times we are deprived of using the Law Library and yard calls. They put on our records that we refused to go outside or to the Law Library. In my situation this is definitely not true. The chance for fresh air and exercise is a delicacy for me. I have been forced to mail home many legal documents that are pertinent to my case. However, this does not include all the wrongful things that are done to us here, but I only named a few.
There have been erroneous write-ups done and no one has stepped up to correct the wrong doings of these prison officials.  April 24th, 2000 is the deadline for me to file my a 3.850, i.e. Motion for Relief. I feel that the C.C.R.C. State appointed attorney is misrepresenting me, therefore I am in dire need of new legal counsel.  Recently I was served some bad food which caused me to have a severe case of food poisoning. At present I am currently taking several
antibiotics which were prescribed by the prison physician.
With all this is going on here at this facility the inmates on Death Row are going on a quiet, peaceful hunger strike and we are not going to purchase any canteen items until some of our issues are heard and proper actions are taken.
I would sincerely appreciate any assistance given by contacting the
following agencies:

8. Any Human Rights Group Nationwide

I have enough evidence in my possession which if given to the proper officials would lead to a federal investigation on D.O.C./U.C.I. on the basis of Criminal Misconduct and multitudes of cover-ups.

I would appreciate any assistance you or any organization could give
to us on Death Row. With sincerest regards, I remain
