To:
Society,
Death
Row, it's a word of violents! Just the word itself, weighs
heavy on the human mind.
I
myself can admit the " Death Row" Just the word, is torment to my mind.
To hear
" People"
wish their own death, is beyond my understanding. To have an
all night conversation with your neighbor, and the next night he's pushed
off this earth, is still
not
understandable!
It seems
like everyday Texas is killing someone. ( I never knew God gave
up that right!)
I am
amongst 450 something people on Death Sc I'm the second youngest here at
20.
I've
been incarcerated for 2 1/4 years and it seems like everyone that I talk to,
dies!
I've
tried hard to understand this life style, but like society, blind to the "
Real facts"
It's
hard for me to believe, much less understand it.
I know
my past has not been perfect, but whose has? Nothing I've done, should
have
warrent
me this much torment. I don't have family or friends, to help
me out in no way.
So I
had to take what ever was given to me. " A court appointed lawyer"
that didn't care
whether
I live or died.
My case
is going through Appeals Court with a court appointed lawyer.
Even though
someone
has confessed not 2 months ago to this crime, I still don't have a
chance with
a "
Court appointed lawyer!" I want you to read this confession, from
the person that
was
there and/or part of the crime and tell me can you help! Me not
knowing my rights
or anything
that has to do with the teachings of the law, my court appoint lawyer took
advantage
of it. I wasn't completely ignorant to what he was doing, but
what could i do?
The reason for me showing the world this statement, is to voice
my innocence.
And because I need help, and I can't do it on my own.
A voice
on Death Row is unheard!
RESPECTFULLY ,
KENNY PARR

| Statement Exonerating Kenny Parr |
My name is Kenny
Parr from Bay City, Texas. I was wrongfully convicted
which
is capital murder. I was 18 at the time of the incident. It happened
on "1-21-98" - 5 days after my eighteenth birthday "1-16-80".
Now I am currently on death row, one of the four or five youngest here, just for having the lack of legal knowledge and for the lack of financial support. Also for me being blind to the fact that the justice system was taking advantage of me in all categories. I feel they saw the opportunity to take advantage of a young individual for those reasons, and they did!
I never had a chance at my trial like my lawyers said, they got paid regardless! My court appointed lawyers never gave me the chance to trust them, or a reason we never even talked about my whereabouts. All he was worried about was taking a vacation and buying a new car with the money he was going to get for losing or winning my case. It didn't matter to him, he was going to receive the same. My State case was based on a footprint (shoeprint) two people that wrote 4 or 5 different statements each. One said they could of dreamed they heard me say = I think I shot a lady = how could someone think they shot someone when the guy had to be at least 2 to 4 inches from the person that was shot. Two people were I.D.ed. One was my little brother who is 6.2 yrs and very light complexed and a man named Earl Laws who is about 6'1" or 6'2". I was I.D.ed as being in the area of the apartment complex in which I live. Also my DNA was 2.43 and what was read out in court at my trial was 2.42. That should have let them know there, but still they said it was me or I had knew about it. There were no finger prints of mine, but there were other finger prints that the State failed to I.D. Like I said earlier in this Intro, I did not have any legal knowledge and they told me not to testify on my own behalf. The State even made up things that were never said by any witness. It was a matter of = I can do it and you can't see it coming =! They wanted for me to testify against my own little brother in which I couldn't do. For one, they made up a story and wanted me to say it in front of the jury, and this was my statement to that. Even if my brother committed a brutal crime of such, I would still hold my tongue !
I would die for my brother, but only in the right situation, but I would never lie on anyone. They can give ma an execution date next week and execute me that week and I will die innocent in my eyes and the ones that know me. This experience has opened my eyes to how precious my life is. It's like my lawyers said: "The rich get richer and the poor get poorer" I am trying to prevent from being another violent casual up on my fight to freedom. But I refuse to just give up and let another fall victim to the games the Justice System plays. Upon reading this and other info of mine, please have an open mind as well as heart.
I am a 19 year old Black/Hispanic. My father died when I was 8. My mother stays in Mississippi. I've been on my own since 13. Except for my two younger brothers Michael Jimmy who just turned 18 and Timothy Davis 17, without them I have nothing. I ask from you who reads this to please help me get back to my loved ones I m,iss so much. If you can help me out with my financial affairs for the right representation to help me on my appeal to get a fair and real trial. I hope you take this intro to mind, heart and soul! and help me on my fight to freedom.

My name is Kenny Parr currently on death row for having a lack of legal knowledge and falling victim to the games of Texas Justice System and for a crime I am very innocent of!
Unfortunately in the State of Texas we have a major problem within our justice system called "Political Power" - using the destitute, the weak and the oppressed to move greedily towards their own political and financial acquire!
Upon reading this letter,
I ask one thing of you! that is to read this letter with an open mind as well
as heart. I was convicted of capital murder on June 4th, 1999 at 2:15
in a Brasporia County court house, away from the county from which it happened
= Bay City, TX, my home town, a crime in which I had no reason to commit
or even knew about. I was sent to Death Row a year and 5 months later.
Unlike some individuals, I'm very young - 19 yrs old - Jan. 16, 1980.
I am very young I know and wish to live a long and normal life and I'm trying
with all effort to acquire the sufficient financial support to obtain the
right equipment to help me
prove my innocence.
I will need financial support to help me with all my efforts. Any contributions
that are made on my behalf will be very much appreciated and put to good
use. If it is in the kindness of your heart to help a person you have never
met or spoken to, please help me.
The reason for my asking od donations is that any and all money will be put into a legitimate legal defense fund that will help put together the right representation that will prove my innocence!
All my life I've been judged
in the eyes of the law, my friends, racist individuals and even my own family.
As I see myself growing up, I see myself as a rose growing from out of the
concrete, yeah! I might have a broken stem and a few dead leaves! but
I've grown out of the concrete! Noone sees how awesome or how
much strength it took to grow! What I am
saying is as a child I may
have lived in a poor place and have done wrong to survive, but as soon as
I come close to achieving my goals = finishing High School = everything goes
wrong and the first thing that comes to mind = look where he's from! stop
looking at the bad and start looking inside for the good!
If any questions are asked me or about me, I will answer truthfuly. With all due respect! I hope to get some support from an unknown friend with a kind heart and soul!
Thank You!!

Upon reading this note,
I ask if you can keep an open mind, heart and soul to what you are about to
read. The reason for this notation is not that I'm desperate for attention,
but I've been purposely accused of a crime I am most certainly innocent of.
I had a blood 1st cousin that I never knew, seen or talked to until the day
before they (State) executed him. His last words were "fight hard"
and that was less than a month ago. It's hard to fight the State of
Texas. The largest State in the World with no support. I also must
note that Texas is leading the Nation in everything that pertains to capital
punishment and the death penalty. Texas issues the
harshest penalties in the
U.S. Me and a very close friend of mine (High School teacher) has started
a defense fund support group for youth. The supporters are people who
help youth as myself that are falsely accused of serious crimes. There
is a list of names that funds can be sent to. What I'm saying is that
under this tax-free organization there are others that you can contribute
your support to. Names are: Kenneth R. Parr, Michael Jimeney,
Timothy Davis, Joe Williams. All are accused of serious crimes.
Kenny Parr is now 19 yrs.
old, Michael Jimeney is now 18 and Timothy Davis is now 17 and Joe Williams
now 20 yrs of age. To contribute any financial support to any of these
young individuals, please write to:

To write to any of these
individuals, please write to the address above.
Money that is donated and/or
contributed can be in cash, but I recommend
that it be in the form of
an international money order if you live outside
the United States. If
you live here in the United States, money must be
in the form of a money order
of your choice, or you can send cash or a
personal check. All
proceeds will benefit what or who ever you wish.
