Death Sentence Overturned
My name is Kenneth Bright - I am a death row inmate here in Jackson GA, USA.
I am 6'4 - 235 - I am now 42 years of age (July 17-60)...I'm black !
The reason for telling y'all that I'm a black man is because of a somewhat funny experience
I had with a pen pal - I was writing to this lady for some time about a year or so ago
- things seemed to be going real well - So well that she became a friend to me in my heart - Get this!
For some reason - all the time we had been writing to each other she was thinking that I was white
- It came up one day and when I told her I was black - she said in her next and last letter to me
that she was thinking I was white - the reason she gave was this (now get this)
because of my last name being BRIGHT - I could not stop laughing at that :)
for that was a first...thinking I was white cause my name is BRIGHT - now that was a good one.
But in time it made me somewhat sad and hurt as well as disappointed in that being the
reason for not writing to me anymore. But! I had to respect her feelings and get over it.
I gave up on the pen pal service thing for some time - but because it is
hard to deal with my feelings of loneliness at times - once more here I am...
My interests!
I read about what's going on in our world today - I would love to see pictures of places of thatI have never been.
I like for my mind to be taken away from being here on death row and the loneliness that comes with it.
Looking for : someone that really wants to help and become a real pen friend to someone like me.
No more pen pals, for pen pals just come and go - and that
can really hurt one's heart......sincerely,
