Richter, önce iki tan?ktan birine yalan ifade verdi?ini itiraf ettirdi. Dennis'in kendisiyle de görü?en Richter, mahkumun adresini ve öyküsünü ?nternet arac?l???yla tüm dünyaya duyurdu. Buna ra?men 2 k?z çocuk babas? olan Dennis, hala idam? için gün say?yor. Ancak mahkemenin de gözard? edemeyece?i baz? gerçekler var.

Dennis'le ilgili temyiz ba?vurusu Temmuz ay?nda reddedildi. ?imdi Richter'in hedefi temyiz ba?vurusuna olumlu cevap almak.    28 ya??ndaki Jimmy, 1991'de 17 ya??ndaki Chedell Williams'? öldürmek suçuyla tutuklanm??, 7 Ocak 1999'da idam edilmesine karar verilmi?ti.

 Pages 118-120 features photos of and an essay on death row by Mumia Abu Jamal.
 In the final two paragraphs of the story (found on page 120),  Mumia writes,
 (to an audience of mostly young music fans):

  "Death Row is also a world in which hip hop is created by some of its
  denizons and is enjoyed by some of its younger residents.  Cool C ?
   He's  here.  So is James "Shorty" Dennis, a back up singer and
   songwriter for a number of artists on the Philly rap scene. 
   Despite evidence that points to Dennis' innocence, the court
   slam-dunked him recently.  He is, as of this writing, laboring under a
   death warrant.
    Aint this (death row) a great place to find inspiration for writing?
   Its a man made hell, a churning, roiling madhouse manufactured to
   push people to the brink. It ain't nothing slick. It ain't nothing to look up to.
   It ain't hip,   y'all.  But its real.  As real as death.  There it is. "
