INFORMATION BELOW FROM JIMMY JACKSON
Greetings, To whomever
it may concern. Greetings from a place where torture does exist... Texas
Death Row! It gives me great pleasure to be able to share my inundate love
for the human race with you. As one can tell from the opening of my
letter I am currently on Texas Death Row searching for that unconditional
love that I have longed for; for over 30 years. So many other human beings
want this type of love too, but are scared of being hurt. The only thing
that exists within my world is love! Without love I am not complete as a
person. I accept love from all races. love has no shape, color, or form. It
starts and ends with the heart. If anyone wishes to drop me a few lines that
deal with love and unconditional love. I will respond to all letters. Please
relax yourself, allow me to take you on a journey of the unknown...First and
foremost, my name is Jimmy Jackson. I am of African decent. I was born January
20, 1967 1 have light brown eyes and hair. I have a caramel complexion. My
interests and pursuits include writing love poems, reading love poems, and
indulging in intelligent conversation. I am a very open-minded person,
and I choose not to judge one's actions. I am a compassionate and caring
person, I express my emotions and sentiments without any reservations. I
would like for my pen-friends) to do the same. In my own humble opinion, I
am a vary interesting person and you will agree after writing to me. You will
not be disappointed. At all times, regardless of the situation at hand, I
will always give you the utmost respect, and showing immense love in each
epistle that I write. Do not judge a book by it's cover; open up the book
and read the words, hear me. Words without meaning and emotion, they mean
nothing at all! All my words contain meaning and come straight from the heart!
In closing I would like to leave you with these powerful words:
When indeed shall we learn that we are all related one to the other, that
we are all members of one body? Until the spirit of love for our fellow men,
regardless of race, color or creed shall fill the world, making real in our
lives and our deeds the actuality of human brotherhood until the great mass
of the people shall be filled with the same sense of responsibility for each
other's welfare, social justice can never be attained. (Helen Keller 1880-1968)

New Message From Jimmy Jackson 2004 -
TRUST FUND JIMMY JACKSON
To those of you who don't know me, let me introduce myself: My birth name is Johnny Ray Carter but I am under the death sentence under the alias name of Jimmy Jackson. All my friends and associates call me Jonny. I am a 30 year old African American.
Before I get into the facts which surround my capital conviction, I would like to say that I've spent the last 13 years of my young life incarcerated. I've spent the last 12 years on ,,Death Row" in Huntsville, Texas.
At the age of 17, I was accused of murdering an African American man during a robbery. Here are some of the facts of my case. I was an uneducated young boy living in a man's world. I was poor and I was black, living in a country where racism does exist, whether one wants to admit it or not. I was sentenced to death by an all white jury, my lawyer didn't put forward any type of evidence on my behalf nor did he call any of my family members who were able and willing to testify on my behalf although they were present in court. I made a statement because I was threatened by a certain Sergeant Novack and I was scared that he would do bodily harm to me.
This is the reason why I am presently on the Row awaiting an execution date. On July 4, 1985 1 called a cab to pick me up from a night club which I had just closed. When the cab arrived one of my associates and myself got in the car. After a while my associate told the driver that he wanted to get out of the car and he then paid the driver. I then told the driver to continue driving. When he turned a corner I told him it was a jack and that I wanted his money. He turned round and told me that he was not giving me anything. His reaction surprised and scared me, so I decided to leave the car. As I turned to get out of the car, the driver tried to take my gun away from me. As we were fighting over the gun, several shots went off and killed the driver. - I am not a bad person I have much love for the human race, and I would never take another human being's life for material items, it just isn't in my character to kill another human being for whatever reason. I left home at the age of 13 because my mother couldn't afford to take care of four kids. She was a single mother, but she did the best job she could. It was very hard to cope with everyday life without a male figure, so I had to feed myself somehow and put a roof over my head.
if I am guilty of a crime, it ain't the crime the State of Texas is charging me with. I shot a man because we were both fighting over the gun, it wasn't in any way my plan to kill the man. All l had in mind was to get his money and that's it.
So this is the reason why I am asking for your assistance. Due to poor legal representation I was unable to prove that my life should have been spared at my first trial. Hopefully you will find it in your heart to help me in any way possible, so that when my appeal comes around, I'll be able to have adequate legal representation for the continuation of my appeals process. The State of Texas knew that they were trying a man innocent of capital murder in their court room and yet they did everything in their power to convict me of capital murder. I'm sitting here on the Row waiting for an execution date to be set. Please sympathize with this miscarriage of justice. I've never killed anyone or anything in my life deliberately for self benefit and I want the world to know that I, Jimmy Jackson, ain't a killer, but I am a very loving, compassionate, understanding human being who took a wrong turn in life, but yet the State is determined to kill me without just cause! I'm coming to you with my last breath, asking that you help me in not allowing the State to take my life!
If it's our creator's will and my life is spared, I'm going to dedicate my life to helping young people who might find themselves in the same situation that I am in today, if they don't get their act together. I will continue to fight against this system which is oppressing us the people and as long as these injustices continue to happen, then the next generation, our kids, will have an uphill battle to fight, so let's make it better for our next generation of family, friends, associates and loved ones. "ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOR ONE" A FIGHT FOR JUSTICE FOR ALL, NOT JUST THE RICH BUT FOR THE POOR AS WELL.
With all the constant changes in the law concerning the death penalty status, when my chance comes, it may be my only chance, so therefore I want to be prepared. Due to the extremely high cost of adequate legal representation, neither my family nor I can afford to hire a lawyer. We, as a family, are asking of you in all sincerity to join our never ending battle to save my life as well as the lives of my comrades who also need help. I truly hope that you can comprehend where I am coming from, I have tried to explain things as clearly as I can, so that everyone can sense the urgency to generate as many funds as we possibly can, in order to be prepared to meet all demands that a new trial may bring about. The cost is at the minimum of $ 50,000 but we're hoping to raise $ 200',000 to hire a whole law firm. We're aware of the fact that no one person or persons can donate this amount of money by themselves, but whatever one can donate would be appreciated very much.
In conclusion, we would like to thank each and everyone of you. I would also like to thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to read my plea for help. If there are any questions or if you require further information, please don't hesitate to drop me a few lines at this address:
