As- Salamu-Alaykum, Brothers, Sisters, friends,
and
enemies. I reach out today to express my concern
and compassion for the Iraqi people. The recent
hostility between America and Iraq is nothing new,
but it must be made clear that the threats to bomb
Iraq will only stiffen diplomatic relations. The Iraqi
people will be killed and subject to more starvation,
medical neglect and suffering. If you justify and remain
silent while women, children and men are slaughtered
at the hands of the world superpower. Iraq is a dictatorship
in which the people have no say so in any policies,
so why slaughter hundreds, thousands, or even millions
of innocent people. President Clinton stated his concern
is solely concern of the Security Council and weapons of
mass destruction, well what about the people? There are
6000 people who die now in Iraq! Who gave Saddam
the weapons? Destroy the Saddam regime, and help
Iraq to rebuild the nation as an Islamic government.
Lets remember Iraq was beautiful before the first Gulf
War. If the world desires a peaceful transition of this
current problem, I suggest that America and its allies
lift the sanctions, aid the people in creating a revolution
to overthrow Saddam's regime, and help these people
relive, rebuild, and recreate a better nation to those
who are the real people who are suffering.
