Death's Embrace
by Alabama Death Row inmate Freddie
Lee Wright,
I am in love with nature!!!
Holding communion with her invisible form as she speak a language, of death's
embrace, she have a voice of warmth as she took my hand and we glided slowly
into her silent music of darkness!!!
A mild healing sympathy
steals away the sharpness of deaths embrace. I am aware of the thought
of my last sweet bitter hours coming over my soul and spirit like a cloud!!!
Agony and the breathless darkness reaches out and touch me as life is being
squeeze from my heart and soul!!!
The narrow hall that makes
my heart shudder as my soul and spirit journey through it's unwanted image
as death's embrace sends me forth under the open sky. to listen to nature
teach while all around me the earth and the depths of the air comes as
an still voice. The warm all-beholding sun I shall feel no more.
I have been given death's embrace. In all my style and grace my body
shall be placed in the cold ground upon mother earth's breast shall now
be my resting place. In my bitter tears I feel joy the embrace of death
shall my image exist the earth that have nourished me through years of
love, happiness and bitterness in a world where there is so little kindness
and care!!!
Mother earth have come to
claim me once again as her own!!! To be resolved to her again, in
her I have lost all human traces as I am surrendering up my individual
being as I go on my way forever mixing with the elements of time.
To become a brother of the rocks and trees, the oaks sending) their roots
forward piercing my very heart and soul.
By death I have been embraced,
mother earth have given me her resting place I shall rise up on wings standing
on high, looking down on rivers as they are flowing off into far away places
through my spirit. Death's embrace have given me the wings of the
morning piercing the bracan wild as I lose myself in the tombs of time
where I heard no sound, I sing out to try and save my own dashing.
Many are here that death's embrace have her claim upon, now laid down in
our last sleep so we rest, as we are now drawn into death's silent embrace.
As no love one took notice before our leaving, as death looks down one
by one all shall come and make their bed with her!!! So be gay as
you live, for someday all will be summons to join the innumerable where
all mysterious realm, where all must come to rest in the silent hall of
death's embrace.
