Dear Friends !
My name is Mr. Edgar Tamayo A. # 999130, age 31, born in Mexico, bilingual, am catholic, and my pass time is writing and reading geographic, western stories, mafia stories, and also draw when able, but mostly I try to work on my case, and now the reason as to why I am sending this letter, as to tell you the following:
I am in the United States on Death Row in Texas a state which leads the nation in executions, I Mr. Edgar Tamayo A. was convicted in 1994 for murder and have maintained my innocence from day one.
Trough a series of Illegal maneuvers by the police and the prosecutors, such as the use of manufactured and falsified documents and perjured testimony I was not able to hire an attorney to defend me at trial, there for I was given a court appointed attorney, Its commonly know that defendants with court appointed attorney are at least ten times more likely to be convicted because such attorney are only permitted $ 500.00 for investigations, lab analys, and expert witnesses.
While the state has unlimited
resources to seek a conviction having already been at a disadvantage my
court appointed attorney failed to provide me with the effective assistance
of counsel that every defendant is entitled
to under the U.S. constitution,
the attorney failed to properly investigate the and did not present rebuttal
evidence that was avaible failed to impeach at least 2 states witnesses
and counsel failed to vigorously pursue
these matters in cross
examination of the witnesses, at this time I DO NOT HAVE AN ATTORNEY as
my case as I am waiting for the courts to rule on my STATE HABEAS CORPUS,
if my case is NOT REVERSED I am going to
be forced to prove MY
INNOCENCE AND RIGHT THIS MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE.
This can only be accomplishment if I am able to hire Investigators and competent attorney to defend me, also if my case is reversed I will also need funding to hire investigators, expert witnesses, and if possible an attorney of my choice to defend me when the state takes me to trial again, and I pray to God that the court will do the correct thing and overturn my conviction.
