Derrick says that
they are now working on cutting out weekend visits
and the weekends
are the only times that some inmates get any visitors.
He says
that the guards have just taken away all the inmates belongings.
"I got some info for you
to put up on the stop death row abuse page ! I will also write
about it in my newsletter but this is what's going on. The warden
was out there in the visiting room this weekend.
He was doing a poll to see
if it would be fine for him to cut Saturday visits off! Brenda, these
people
are going to the limits
to keep us locked down in this hell hole and this is not right. We
just gotten all
our property taken and this
isn't right. I want for you to write something about this and get
people to
call, fax, write, come up
here to the Warden's office and stop this from happening. I have
a brother
over here that has his sister
going to the legislature to fight this. See, the warden will put
it in there
and get it made to rule
to stop visits and make it to where people don't get the chance to get
visits
except on weekends!
Now what are they to do? They are basically stuck out. This
isn't right. I want
to arrangement a movement.
I want to arrange a protest in front of this unit. Right as close
as we can
get without them trying
to arrest us! What do you think? Brenda, we need to do something
of action
and thus it's up to me since
I am here to make sure that people do try to stop this. I want you
to send
this message out to the
people that are a part of your organization and to other people and have
them
contact the warden.
Also leave my address and email on there to contact me with what they did
and
what was the response they
got that way when I write the follow up to this story, I will have some
responses to this.
You also email your complaint into the warden and to the legislator and
all that and
send me the response that
you get ok".
