Much media blasting and negativity has been directed at
several Islamic groups' struggle for freedom. There has
been little even out dialogue concerning these spiritual
movements. Muslims are in a state of despair, deceived
and dismantled, so they have resorted to Western definition
of terrorism. There are legitimate grievances throughout the
Muslim world concerning dempcracy, human rights, the pursuit
of justice and economic development that the fundamentalists
would exploit toward their cause, which reflects despair.
Islam is based on peace and justice, for non Muslims such
as President Clinton to say what is a good Muslim, and a
bad Muslim, it is very important for one to thoroughly
understand the religion of Islam. Most Muslims have no
problem with the American people, its the American
government and its foreign policy, thats the problem. Muslims
are put in a position of having to explain themselves, and the
media get the person who fits into their scheme of things.
The world community must speak out about all forms of
oppression and terrorism regardless who the culprit is.
