for Danny Lee Jones, ADC #092576.  Execution date set is Wednesday, March 28, 2001. Inmate Jones has not yet exhausted his appeals process.

HI!  My name is Danny Jones, I am a 37 year old Death Row inmate in Arizona.
This is my humble request to all who read this :

 I am seeking company and conversation with someone by way of old fashioned  letter writing.  I enjoy meeting people and I place friendship in the highest regard.  I'm also a good listener and will always have an open mind and heart.    am spiritually grounded and my beliefs are simple and true.  My interests are somewhat varied, some of which are : art, poetry, music of most types depending on the mood, animals, (especially dogs and horses, wolves & birds  of prey) nature in general, writing, and auto racing (mainly Nascar.)  I also enjoy the sharing of thoughts, ideas, dreams & emotions.   I miss sunsets, the stars, I am not one who indulges in prison mind games or its politics.  I can promise to be honest and straight forward at all times.  I have been here for almost 10 years.  Personal visits are a rare thing for me  and quality conversation is all but non existent as is positive mental stimulation.  This prison unit here is a deprivation unit.  There are no windows, no views to the world outside, no schooling or jobs for death row.  No counseling, nor religious services, no freedom of movement or interaction with others.  I would be thankful for any replies.  Thank you so much for your time and I hope to hear from you soon.  Until then have a great day and peace be with you always.  Most sincerely, Danny Jones.

within these dead walls of stone.
