ALL he is asking for is a chance to prove his innocence !

Damon Jerome Richardson has spent 12 years on death row in Huntsville Texas,
and 3 on death row in Livingston texas having been convicted of a capital murder that
he did not commit.

The State of Texas charged Mr. Richardson with having participated in the Lubbock,
Texas, murders of three persons in their home on September 10, 1987, by ordering
three identified codefendants to do the shooting.

. The State achieved a conviction and death sentence against Mr. Richardson in
a trial marred by governmental misconduct and ineffective assistance of defense
counsel.

The State based its case on testimony of key witnesses, including the State's
pathologist, who lied on the stand. The State suppressed material evidence that
would have exculpated Mr. Richardson. The defense, for its part, failed to properly
test the veracity of the State's witnesses through cross-examination or expert
testimony. Ultimately, the defense failed to put on any witnesses, even though
over 30 strong impeachment and alibi witnesses had been ready to testify on
Mr. Richardson's behalf, including the three codefendants. Two of Mr. Richardson's
codefendants were subsequently tried and acquitted, by a judge and jury respectively.
The last codefendant had charges dismissed for lack of evidence.

Neither Mr. Richardson nor any of his codefendants had anything to do with the crime.

Richardson's legal team has mounted an attack on his illegal conviction and sentence.
Hundreds of pages of court documents have been filed on behalf of Mr. Richardson,
and about thirty days of hearings have been held. Litigation continues and the costs
of this complex case have mounted. Mr. David L. Botsford, Mr. Richardson's lead
attorney and an ex-President of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association,
has a strong track record of success in capital cases, having obtained the permanent
releases of John Skelton, Lee Roy Barrow, and Andrew Mitchell from Texas' death
row. He also was co-counsel for many years in the case of Karla Faye Tucker,
whose case brought the unfairness of the Texas system under national and
international scrutiny.

ALSO LIKE TO CORRESPOND WITH A PERSON WHO LIKES DISCUSSING
