those fuckin' maggots die!! Wow! No one mentioned
the families of the victims. Maybe they don't have raincoats, or
gloves, or new boots. I wish that they would torture their worthless
asses! Who the fuck cares if the murderers on death row are comfortable

I just checked out the website you help maintain about
death row inmates in Texas. Of course you, like many others, only show
one side to the story. Why don't you show the pictures of those these criminals
murdered? Why don't you show their families morning the deaths of their
loved ones, the same loved ones the ones on death row killed in cold blood?
You try to make these convicts sound so innocent. It really makes me sick!
The only thing I regret about the Texas Death Row is
that is takes so many years for them to finally get their punishment! I
look forward to reading about the 36 death row inmates who will be executed
this year (6 the next ten days). They will finally get what they gave their
victims many years ago. Too bad their victims didn't have death come so
peacefully as these criminals. Maybe we should start killing them in the
same manner they killed their victims. Now that would be justice!

Your "facts" sound more like your opinions. What
about the rights of the murdered person, who has lost all?
What about the sanctity and preciousness of human life?
It is the ultimate act of abuse and selfishness to take
another's life. There is no penalty other than
giving your own life back. Do you realize just how eternally
unfair a murderer is? How immeasurable the act?
It cannot be defined by compassion and forgiveness in this
world, that is for God to do later. (It is a trade,
not revenge, not blood, not rage - it is usually done in a court of
law, by peers on the jury). It is fair, quite fair.
It is not showing sympathy and compassion to the murderer or
society to let these individuals "bask in their glory"
while spreading so much suffering and loss. Please just think, really think,
and pray about what you are doing. I will hope and pray that those
of you who think you are making rules for God, will realize He is quite
capable of doing that all by Himself and already has and quite clearly
so.

Ms. Lamourie,
Why don't you start a web page asking for money
for the people who need it most.....The victims of the crimes
committed by these animals. Your web page states that
these people don't have a avenue to ask for help in
their cases, What option does victim name deleted
have to ask for help, now that prisoner name deleted beat him to
death? I do disagree a little bit about the death
sentence though. I feel that after the first failed appeal, the sentence
should be carried out immediately. The person who commits such a terrible
crime should lose all of their basic human rights....Because that is what
they took from their victims. They are playing God. I feel
sorry for you misguided people, and hope that this is just a revenue generating
scheme started by you and Mr. Parkinson. Anything to get famous, right?
I am also writing Amazon.com and the GO network, telling them of my boycott

Instead of
telling us how we should run our justice system and what we should do with
or criminals why don't you do something useful. Like go fly a kite
or something along those lines. Not having any one in my family or
close friends murdered by one of these idiots I cannot begin to understand
the pain that the victims families are in as can you. If your mother
or father or brother or sister were killed by one of these bone heads you
might be singing a different tune. We torture them TOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad for
them if they had not done the crime in the first place they would not be
tortured. They have no one to blame but themselves for where they
are at and what lies in there future. Leave us alone. Go save

so tiny died a painful death, i definitely won't lose
any sleep over it and those pictures didnot sway me. i guess
the horrible crimes he committed (yes i've read all about
this piece of scum) should be over looked because he
suffered, so what!! he should have thought of that before
he acted. i'm canadian and very much for the death penalty.
i think the states have the right idea. i'm not by any means a hard or
cruel person (i'm sure you must think so after this email) but what about
the victims families. all you people and you're morals, well
i'm tried of innocent people dying for no reason, but since their gone
lets feel for the convicted, well to hell with that. let them fry.
sometimes i struggle with the fact that pictures
etc. that are published don't affect me. but the families of the
innocent do. i pray that they can get pass this and try
to rebuild their lives. the only thing with the death penalty that i don't
agree with is the lenght of time on death row, the innocent didn't have
time on their side now did they.
as far as the chair i think it's a better punishment
than the needle, since with the needle they go to sleep and
that's it. too quick.. you people (and i use the term
loosely) should be more concerned with stopping crime and thinking about
the victims not this load of scum. an eye for an eye.

Their victims where tortured why not them? Please explain
why they should not be? They took the life's of people who did not choose
to die, so why should we care about their tortured death sentence. they
need to know it's coming, the feel of it's grasp as it grabs them taking
their last breath just like they did to their victims. I know some of them
have cases that may have been accident, they are the ones this may not
apply to, but that is not what your page says your are for. Why don't people
like your group do more for people like help the families of the victims
get over their grief not make it worse?
From:
jcantrell <jcantrell@me1.cc.va.us>
ccadp,
i totally disagree with your
view of the death sentence. it is my belief that people convicted
of voilent and malicious crimes and have been sentenced to death should
be put to death immediately. i also concider the sentence of life without
parole to be a death sentence. i think it is very disturbing that
you could create a page on the internet for a man like prisoner name
deleted, who raped and killed a innocent young girl. i am a 19
year old college student and i plan to have children of my own someday
and prisoner name deleted is not a person with whom i would
like my children to be able to see asking for their mercy, be it via the
internet, books, or television. in my opinion, which i know matters little
if any, men like prisoner name deleted should be shown no
mercy. as is stated by the good lord in the Holy Bible an eye for an eye,
a tooth for a tooth, ant in the ten commandments it states though shalt
not kill and thou shalt not covet they neighbor's wife or family.
i believe people sentenced to die should be put to death by the same means
as their victims and immeadiately after they are sentenced to this fate.
my opinion may sound cruel to many, but to hold these incredibly sick people
in prison for years before they meet their fate is cruelty in it's own
right to the families and friends of their victims and the people who understand
and sympathize with them. i have never let somebod else take the blame
for something i have done and i've always tried to take my punishment like
a man. so my question to you is this why do you give these people
the sympathy they ask for? if they were sentenced to death they have obviously
been convicted of one or more extremely violent or malicious crimes. and
one more thing to incarcerate these people for such prolonged periods of
time is very expensive, which means taxes. and many people have trouble
paying their taxes already. if you sympathize with anyone, it shoud be
those who really need help, people who are in need of jobs, people who
do not have a home with a warm bed to go to, these are the people you should
be trying to help not the rapists, serial killers, and homocidal maniacs
on death row. as i stated earlier if they put them to death immediately
here would be no worry because we, the people who pay taxes so they can
have premium health care, three meals a day, and a bed to sleep in, would
feel much easier about letting our children out of our sight or walking
down the street without feeling like someone is going to jump out and kill
us for no apparent reason. plus if they were put to death immediately it
might ake the next person, who thinks about raping or killing for no apparent
reason, stop and think about it and what would happen if they did it, obviously
without these people the world would be a more peaceful, profitable, and
allaround better place to live. i have singled out prisoner name deleted
as an example because his crimes were in my opinion the worst crimes a
man can commit and it makes me sick to think about what thi man, no this
beast done to little Polly Klaas. and to be quite honest i think this man
should be put down like a rabid dog because that's about prisoner name
deleted equivalent. some people can be rehabilitated, but i believe
the people who commit these kinds of crimes should not be allowed to live.

I just cannot believe you have put a face like that of
Richard Allen Davis on a web page. What is your
problem??? He murdered Polly Klass a young girl so innocent
and sweet. How can you display his pictures,
especially the boxer shorts? It is sickening to me, and
other people around the world, that has compassion for
the Klass's family. I stumbled onto this while browsing
the net and I am just sick to my stomach. He deserves
to die a cruel, cold and painful death just as little
Polly did. Open your minds to what he done to this little girl
and her family! Get him off the web page and let him
die a horrible death!!! You should be educating yourselves
on how to protect these children insted of protecting
a man that kills the children.

If she is innocent, why were her last two husbands
buried in the yard with bullets in their heads?
And IF she was abused she should have left. It was her
choice, she made the wrong one and paid
the price. She was executed for her own actions.
To whom it may concern:
I am writing to you in regard to the web page
that I read onprisoner name deleted . She was talking about how
bad she was getting treated on death row, First off I would like to know
what she did that put her on death row. And then I would like to know,
How does she think she should be treated? I know that for her to be on
death row she had to have killed another human being. Well they are no
longer here to tell their story. I dont know why the
prisoners always think they have it so bad when
they are the ones that put themselves there. I do not personally think
they should have any rights at all, the people they killed have no rights
anymore, and so what makes the
killer so special to have rights. I have no sympathy
for them. They ask for what they are getting and as far as I'm concerned
they have it too good. I tbink if they are on death row, they should be
taken from the courtroom and
done away with as soon as their appeal is over. We work
everyday of our lives to feed no good people like this girl, when
we have good kids out here that would like to have a education. The money
that is spent on
keeping their sorry BUTTS in jail could be doing something
good for our country, like sending kids to college. She shou8ld stop and
think that we do not owe her anything, if anything she owes the people
who are feeding and housing her. If it were up to me she would be sleeping
in the swamp with the alligators and animals ( like her self). If I do
not hear from you I will know that you dont want to take the time to reply
to the truth. And if you
can uphold someone like this as far as Im concerned you
are as sorry as they are. I would hate to know that she ever got out of
prison for the fact that I have kids, and I do not want animals like herself
walking the streets. Has
she ever one time thought about the family of who ever
she killed, did they have any rights. (NO) Do they get their family on
holidays, does the person she killed get to get 2 hours of recreation time
a day? Do they get to sit
and read a book ?Do they get to sit and talk to anyone.
And it dont matter what time recreation time is for them, because they
are dead. I think she needs to sit and take whatever is sent her way. She
deserves it. She should not get the chance to even get to write complaints
about prison, because she should not have any rights. JUST REMEMBER THE
PERSON SHE KILLED HAS NO RIGHTS ANYMORE.
THANKS.
I have read your letter, and I have also read a little
on prisoner name deleted case, I believe there was 2 people
killed in the crime she committed. Yes I do agree that there are p[eople
that are innocent, but like her she admitted that she did this, why
should we owe her anything.I believe that when they admit what they have
done and there is no question if they killed another perso, why should
she have any rights? Don't you realize that the person that she killed
have no rights. Their family had no rights to keep their love one. It seems
that on crimes that are committed that the criminal has more rights
than the victim or the victims family. For instance there was a case right
here in my home town, that it took 10,000.00 of tax payers money to fight
for a murderer. They had the trial out of town so he would get a fair trial,
but there was no money for the victims family to make sure that they got
to court everyday in another town, now how fair
is
that. The people in the town I live in had a benefit dance so that that
family could go and see justice done. I feel that everyone deserves a fair
trial, but i aslo feel that when we know with out a doubt that someone
did this like we know that prisoner name deleted did her crime,
then we do not owe her nothing. She knew that what she was doing was wrong.
Does she think she should go to prison and be treated like a Queen. Is
the person she killed being treated like a Queen or King. No all they have
is a very cold grave with a marker. If you have children hopw can you uphold
someone like this, what if that was your child that she killed, I dont
think you would be so glad to stand up for her like you are.You say that
prisons are a money making place, But my tax money is what pays for the
guards and the buildings and the doctors bill, also the dental bills and
anything else that needs to be done for the criminal. Yes they might make
money, but if we didnt have sorry people in the worls like prisoner
name deleted then we would not have to have the prisons to begin
with. But it simply appales me to think that we have people like you out
there upholding a murder. I do
not understand how you feel like you do for somneone
that kills people, especially if you have a family. I have one child and
I cannot even think as to how I would feel if someone took her from me.
Ok here is another trial that I know a whole lot about, It is the trial
of the 3 white men that dragged the black man with a chain behind
a truck, and decapatated him, and we all know that they are guilty, and
you are gonna tell me that all they deserve is life in prison, I think
they should be put in the cell with the 3 biggest black men in prison,
and nothing that them 3
black men could do to them would justify what they did
to this man. If you could read this mans autopsy and still freel the way
that you do then there is something wrong. What if that was your child
that was drug behind a truck with a chain until their head was knocked
off with a culbert, and then the killers was so cold that they painted
her face and drove off laughing and you tell me that you would feel the
same as you feel for prisoner name deleted. Do you have
a heart. Thanks, Annette

Mr. ____ , forget that _____ is imprisoned for the malicious murder of
an innocent victim...'ve had the pleasure of working with the cream of
the scum crop. I've dealt with the everyday excretment that spews from
their foul mouths. I've seen the lack of remorse that they flaunt like
a regal robe of purity. I've looked into the eyes of the criminally insane

they are treated is far better than what they deserve. They are given 3
squares a day...tv to watch...daily exercise times...showers...books to

clothes...and the list goes on. What do the victims of their crimes get?

- Everybody knows Mahatma Ghandi was a great peace-offerer.
India and the world are greatfull for him.
- Everybody knows death penalty is disgreaceful, and,
sometimes unjust at defendants.
- I live in Brazil, a country where the law-abiding are
fewer because of owing to feeble justice institutions, and
so everybody takes the law into his own hands. This is
a lot of gisgracefull too.
- We know by TV some criminals that are in jail by judgement
are not guilty. Police and attorneys try to put this
people away. Who knows how many people died innocent
inside jail?
- If we lived in heaven we had not to discipline, and,
judgement were no use to estimate our citizen actions.
- GOD TAKE PITY ON THE HUMAN KIND!

"Hope you have a Happy New Year with lots of blessings
for the good work you do---Just want you to know that we emailed in Sept
1999. I am writing to David Lee Thomas, and David Rodgrigues both
of Florida. Right after I wrote you and you gave me their addresses
I wrote. ..Both Davids are nice. David R is from Cuba and my heritage
is carribean also on mother's side. David Lee is really a very dear
soul. His bio mentioned he had just learned to read, and both truly
have no relatives that write. Well I'm still new at this. Sometimes
I feel I don't know what to say to them. Just taking it one letter
at a time, and trying to send some Caring Heart their way. I know
nothing about Death Row, but I'll learn as I go along. For me no
one deserves to be totally alone in this world. Take care and Happy
New Year ..."
Thanks for caring, you
have my fullest respect. I hope you are able to help bring justice to people
who have been wronged! It breaks my heart to see our justice system
go wrong. Jurors are Human, they make mistakes. As they just
did to my friend, 28 year old Dominica Golf of Monterey, CA, She's an angel,
please pray for her. When my new bussiness
is successful, when I'm not broke, I too am going to champion justice in
some way. Your not alone. I join you now in spirit and love,
hi i am very interested in groups that are against the
death penalty as it is something i have learnt a lot about and
am very against. i am in australia though and having
a lot of trouble finding out if there are any groups closer to home who
are involved in such things. do u know of any and if so could u send me
any info that u have?
would be very appreciated
I want to help out with a donation but it probably won't
be very much. I am a college student and me financila status is in the
category of "low". However, what you are doing is extremely considerate.
Please send me some
information on how I can help out.
I have to again say thank you to you two for your tremendous
devotion and outstanding job that you're doing.
I've spent hours and hours pouring through the various
penpal requests and have managed to restrain myself from writing every
single person! I am, however, in regular correspondence with 21 folks
(12 letters initially sent
have not been replied to or it would be 32) - and each
and every one of them has been very open and thankful to have a penfriend.
It's, so far, been a tremendous blessing to communicate with each and every
one of them.
Kudos to you guys. I'm hoping I can forward membership
dues very shortly!
I am a Political Science student at ____ university
in ____ and am very interested in your organization. Currently I am researching
an essay on the topic of extradition to the United States where one would
face the death penalty and am looking for any information I can find on
this subject, as well as information on the recent execution of Stan Fauldner,
as well as information on other Canadians currently on Death ROw in the
United States. Besides information towards my research I would be interested
in information on your organization and how to possibly
become involvd. I have been very interested in the Death
Penalty for several years now, and began researching it about five years
ago. Being strongly against the death penalty, and against the possibility
of it being reinstated in Canada, I would like to put my interest and research,
to some use. If your could please send me informationI would greatly appreciate
it.
Dear Wes
Quick, (this message was sent us to pass on to Alabama death row prisoner
Wes Quick)
I am a law student in Southampton, England, and as part
of my course i am constructing a presentation on the subject "Should capital
punishment be reintroduced in to the english criminal justice system?"
Whilst researching this area, i came across some of your writing, it touched
me to say the least and it certainly changed my oppinion, which i'm ashamed
to admit was rather stereotypical,of people on death row. I would very
much appreciate it if you would reply to me with some of your thoughts
on this subject that may help me in my presentation.
Yours Sincerely

to write to any one who wants a pen pal some one , on the outside , who

, SO THEY KNOW THAT THEY ARE CARED FOR , AND IF THAT MEANS ME GETTING ON
A PLANE TO VISIT THEM IN TIME I WILL THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP.
I just wanted to send you this mail, because I
was looking at a Dutch tv-programme about
death row in the state og Texas. To be honest, it touched
me. I am a dutch man who totally disagrees with the
death-penalty system, as it is (ab)used in the US today.
Here in Holland we don't even kow the deathpenatly. It seems to me that
one cannot justify to take a persons life, because he (or she) took another
life. If he or she commited the crime. I am a christian who believes in
forgifness (I don't know if I spelled it correctly). In the times of the
old testament God told it was justifiable to take a life when it is taken
(eye for an eye, tooth fot a tooth). But in modern sociaty (spelling!)
it's not a good thing when it happens. So, I would like to tell you that
you have my support in your battle against the deathpenatly. Yes, people
should recieve punnishement for crimes they have commited, but death? NO
!! In conclusion, I don't know if I can be of any halp here in Holland,
but remember there is at least 1 guy in Holland that supports your cause.
Yours supportivly,Martijn Feijer
Dear sirs / madam
I was deeply affected reading some requests for
penpals on death row. I've recently been introduced to God and have,
for a long time, believed firmly that taking of life is wrong.
It would be a weird feeling at first I'm sure to begin conversing with
someone but I was so affected today that I cried. One message in
particular set me off and I was also deeply affected by another inmate
who requested financial help for a DNA test that would prove his
innocence: If this is true I think it would be
money well spent and would like to contribute. I am in England
and can't even send American stamps. What would be the best way?
Is it allowed to send cash? Should I instead make out a money
order?
Thank you,
Kind regards,
George
Greetings, folks.
Just wanted to let you know some good news. I found
your site a few weeks ago after reading an article about the CCADP in the
Toronto Star. I decided to strike up a penpal relationship with 12
of the inmates looking for
penpals...Thanks for doing such an upstanding job on
the site and for the cause. A new ally and supporter via letters
abroad, my regards to you. Be blessed.
"Grace extended is grace received."
Greetings,
My name is Chris and I work as a volunteer with Prison
Fellowship in Australia.. I am a Christian and interestingly enough, I
looked at your home page and after reading it's contents I came back to
read it again and here I am now writting this letter to you .
I do not believe in Capital punishment and furthermore after looking at
your home page and all the trouble that family and friends have gone to
in their fight for prisoner name deleted cause, I feel compelled
to act, and do what I can to help. I do not have any political strength
to be able to help. But I do have the conviction of believing the God of
the Bible and know that the Lord Jesus sets prisoners free in their soul
and has the ability to do many wondrous things. I have no idea of what
God would have happen in prisoner name deleted situation exactly
regarding his release and when. I do however believe that the Lord
Jesus can do things where man can not. I must say that I admire the
gallant efforts that family members and friends are doing for prisoner
name deleted If it's ok with you. I would dearly love to
pray for prisoner name deleted and his situation. I would
pray also for family members and friends as they go into fight for prisoner
name deleted cause.... What is impossible for man is possible
with God.

Dear Friends,
As a chaplain to the men on Texas' death row I am familiar
with the hopelessness, despair, depression, and fear
these men face on a daily basis. Yet, many of them
are solid Christians, men who have done a complete turn
about. I feel that by uniting we can have a greater
influence than as separate groups. Dove Prison Ministry
International, the ministry I founded, is declaring a
national day of prayer on Sunday, July 9th. We are asking
pastors across America and around the world to unite
with us on that day in special prayer for inmates, their
families, the prison staffs, and prison ministry workers.
Would you be willing to help us spread the word? Just
contact as many pastors as you know and ask them to sign
a pledge to pray on July 9th. If there are any that
are interested, please contact me and I will mail the
information to them. Let's make this a prayer heard around
the world! Texas just executed one man this week
and six more are scheduled before the end of the month.
These men urgently need praying Chrisitans of all faiths
to stand behind them. God bless you.

Thank you for responding to our plea. With the
support of groups such asyours we can get this message out and thereby
gain support for those who so desparately need it. Not only the men
on death row but their families are victims as well. You asked about
other projects we have. There is a special prayer team we have as
a part of Dove Prison Ministry International. Our team members are
assigned the name of a death row inmate and each day lift them and their
family up in prayer. I feel this is vital to the well being of the
men as many have no hope except to know that they are not forgotten and
that someone does care. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
God bless the efforts of your hands. Edwin Smith

Dear Tracy and David,
Congratulations, you are both wonderful, caring and among
the most compassionate people I have ever had the honour of "meeting" on
the Net. Each time I write to a D/R Prisoner I always include copies
of your form for
Inmates on D/R. Why? Because so many unfortunates
have not even the $$$'s to put up a site for a month, disgraceful!......That
you both put your Home and Jobs on the line to help the helpless still
stuns me! You are both unique and lovely human beings, beyond words,
Love and respect, Lee-Safiyya. Australia.

"Thank you for all the work you do. I've been able
to correspond with a few inmates since stumbling onto your site and they've
been really positive about placing their requests with you. Some
never expected to hear from anyone so it really does them some good to
write a letter here and there to pass the time and talk about things.
You and your friend(s) are doing a fantastic job. I'm not sure
if I'm on your mailing list but add me if not, and send along any membership
information. I live in a house with six Catholic religious and we
might be interested in joining as a group. Thanks! Peace in
the New Year."
"Please let me know if there any way I can become actively
involve in supporting the cause in which you are fighting.I look forward
to helping your org./gruop."

Hi Tracy. We've "E-spoken" before, it's Charlene

the kind words. Although our opinions differ on the death penalty,
I am aware of how much time and effort you and Dave put into your labor
of compassion for the inmates you build pages for.

PRISONER FAMILY MEMBERS/FRIENDS
"...I am 20 years old. I'm studying to be
a paralegal. I have a family member who is on death row, he's my
uncle. Right now he is currently going through federal court they
say he only has 2 more years of appeals left. The state denied his
other 3 appeals. My uncle had a lot of inconstancies in his trial.
The was virtually no evidence in his case to convict him but since we didn't
have a lot of money to afford on attorney he ended up with a court appointed
attorney who did virtually nothing for his case. His first trial
ended in a hung jury and the second one they found him guilty. I
've been looking for someone to listen I am the only one trying to help
him. I'm glad there are people like you guys who understand and care.
I think you could help us out a lot. If you would
like more info on his case feel free to let him know
I told you guys about him and you would like to know more about his case.
I'm sure he'll be happy to let you know all about it. I am also going
to let him know about you
guys. I appreciate any thing you guys can do I
know it's hard with so many people asking for your help but since I'm the
only one trying to help I didn't know what else to do. I thought
maybe you guys could help me out.
Anything you can do to help we would appreciate.
Thanks again!"
- From the niece of a DR prisoner
"Thank-you so much for putting ___'s letter and
now his picture on his webpage. We both appreciate it very much.
This is the first real forum that DR inmates have had and already I know
this website has made a very
positive impact on those on Alabama’s Death row."
- From the wife of DR prisoner
"I am trying to find out how to reach someone on death
row. This person is an old friend and has been on death
row for the past 18 years, and I have not known how to
contact her. Can you help me?"
Dear Dave/Tracie:
Thanks for all of your efforts on behalf of Freddie.
I am answering all of his last correspondences and did read a letter you
sent him. I don't know for sure if he was able to answer you, but
I know it was important to him
that every letter receive a response. He entrusted me
with that responsibility. I noticed in the letter that you
said you would keep his website up indefinitely. I was happy to see
that because the efforts to prove his innocence will continue. The
same group which worked for clemency and to uncover the evidence which
would have exonerated him is still assembled and, with a different legal
team, hope to show that Alabama has, in fact,
executed innocent people. We have the fastest growing
death row in the country and the 3rd highest per capita death row population
of all the states. It is our desire that no one else, especially
those who are wrongfully convicted, be sent to death at the hands
of the state. Nothing will bring Freddie back, but hopefully we can
save other innocent people from a similar fate. There were
quite a few letters from people outside the US who, no doubt, got information
from the website. I am hoping you will allow me to continue posting
information there. What is desperately needed is a fund and we are
in the process of finding someone to host it. I was asked to consult
you to see if you can, or are willing to establish one. Freddie had a lot
of supporters who, hopefully, want to continue doing what they began when
they reached out to him initially. It is still very soon and we are
trying to keep the momentum going. Here in Birmingham there was a
lot of outrage at his impending execution and the
Governor's office was swamped with telephone calls, letters
and faxes. The state has already requested that an execution date
be set for Robert Tarver, whose conviction was obtained almost as questionably
as Freddie's and whose constitutional rights were violated, as well.
Important contacts have been made and we want to work discreetly so no
one in the state can thwart our plans. We have an attorney who is
very interested in this effort, who knows Alabama and is willing to do
it, but cannot afford to absorb the costs himself...I appreciate all you
have done for Freddie and thanks, in advance, for what you will continue
to do on his behalf.
Sincerely,__ (wife of executed death row prisoner Freddie
Lee Wright)
I would like to thank you for this web page, my childrens
father was put to death Feb 24th at Florida state prison, even though I
divorced my husband after he was sentenced we never gave up on him, I always
took the children to visit him and I`m glad I did cause they were able
to see the kind of person their dad was, It was very upsetting to
them when they had to leave their Dad after the visits. Anthony spent 14
years on death row and through his spiritual growth in prison and prayers
it kept us stronger than ever, so if anyone is going through what we have
,
please don`t give up on your love one or relative keep
visiting and writing to them, I`m so thankful to have gave that to Anthony
he will be sadly mised by us all but we know he is in a better place, Anthony
would like for us all to pray for the innocent men that will be put to
death at Florida State Prison.
My son turns 21 next week. He is currently on death row
in Arkansas. He is a very intelligent young man. Do you have him in your
list of inmates? I know how lonely he gets for someone to converse with
besides his Mom.
VICTIMS FAMILIES /
FRIENDS
My niece is the wife of the boy (25 years old) that this
inmate killed by slitting his throat. She called me and told me she
was playing on a computer at her inlaws and found his web site. She
was quite upset and depressed as she can't afford a computer for herself
or her children and felt it so unfair this guy had a web page. I
became a Quaker in 1991 and don't believe in the death penalty. However,
when this happened it certainly made me see the situation from a different
perspective than I ever thought I would. I'm currently not active in my
meeting because many younger people seemed to find causes to support that
they do not fully understand and don't seem to want to hear anything that
might make them look at things differently, because, I believe, they need
the cause more for themselves than to truly work through to find justice.
My concern with this website is that it does not tell why he is on death
row, but shows his "artwork." My niece was in the hospital at the time
of her husband's death as she
had just delivered his second child, and first son the
day before. He had visited her and went out that night to celebrate
this event and because it was also his own birthday. During the trial
a woman who this inmate previously shot in the face was asked if the man
was present that did this to her and what was he wearing. The inmate
held out his shirt as if he was "modeling" it, making a mockery of the
whole thing. I'm still not in favor of the death penalty, but I am
very concerned about people of this depravity ever being able to go free.
And
displaying "artwork" without stating the facts of the
case does not seem ethical. My niece never knew her father as he
was killed in a car accident before she was born. She has truly had
a difficult life. It has had it's effects on her self image but I
admire the clarity of thought she possesses despite the extenuating ordeals.
I wish there was
a Coalition To Aid the Victims of Senseless Acts of Violence!
Most Sincerely,
