CASE SUMMARY - From Citizens United For Alternatives to the Death Penalty

In 1991, Brian and his wife were arrested on an unrelated case and during their incarceration they
were connected to a murder which occurred one week earlier and for which the detective in charge
of the investigation had no leads. In collusion with the County deputy, he implemented and orchestrated
a foul scheme which insidiously coerced Brian into confession to the crime against the immunity for
his wife whom evidence were pointed to. In overruling the motion to suppress filed by his then-appointed
lawyer, the court erroneously admitted his confession even though his videotape confession did not
tally at all with the forensic findings on many key points. Nevertheless, Brian pled not guilty and was sentenced to death in spite of an obvious lack of consistent evidence to sustain his conviction and
the nature of the capital murder itself. Although hair and blood samples have been found in the
deceased's hands, no DNA testing which could have exonerated him at the time has been done.

                            Brian's CCADP Penpal Request:

Help me please !  One brokenhearted puppy on Death Row, 30, 5'8", 180 lbs, hazel eyes and light brown hair.  I was mischievous, caught, and thrown away forever.  I have grown up some since I have been locked up.  I still have much to learn.  My interests are hunting, fishing, swimming, camping, listening to music (all types), writing a wonderful person and just reading a good book.  My one desire is to find a female willing to partially own this lovable pup.  Of course the system I am in holds full ownership.  Hopefully that will change. Working hard to prove my innocence.  But the good old State of Texas does not care too much about one's innocence.  For now,any female willing, please throw this lonely puppy the bone of correspondence.   I'm good at fetching and returning. Anything would excite this lonely pup.  This puppy answers to the name of Brian.

Brian's LAMP OF HOPE Pen Pal Request:

Ever since all of Texas' death row was moved to the Terrell Unit (one of the so-called “Super-Max” units) a whole lot has changed. Before we moved, we all had a lot more freedom of movement, as well as programs allowed that would keep your mind occupied. If you think about it for a little while, you can imagine how important it is here to keep your mind occupied, focused on ho quickly and what high numbers are being put to death here. Now that we're here, though, all those programs have been wiped out. It seems as if there is nothing to do. Twenty-three to twenty-four hours a day, locked in a cell. Talk about being bored to death!

So I thought it might be nice to correspond with somebody, if there's anybody out there looking for some conversation. I am a 32-year old regular-sized white guy with brown hair and blue eyes, if any of that matters – and my name is Brian Davis, by the way. But some folks call me B.D. for short – go figure. If you maybe find yourself with a little extra time on your hands, how 'bout dropping me a few lines about yourself and I'll get right back to you. Here's how to get in touch with me:
