ABEL'S PENPAL REQUEST - August 2005
Hello, my name is Abel R
Ocoa and I am writing from
Death Row in Texas. My date of birth is January 23, 1973, so I am
currently 32 years young (grin.)
I was born in Mexico, but my
parents brung me and my older brother here to Texas when I was 3 years
old and I started kindergarden here, and graduated in 1991 from high
school. I arrived here on death row in May 15, 2003.
I am
looking for someone who I can correspond with and share my life
experiences and opinions and beliefs with, and if possible for the same
in return.
Race, color, religion, gender do not matter.
A
few things I liked to do in the free world are, walking around at parks
or lakes, drive out around the country, and fishing. Anything to do
with nature. In God's love,

ABEL'S ORIGINAL CCADP PENPAL REQUEST -
Greetings, My name is Abel R Ochon, and
unfortunately I am writing this letter from Death Row. I am 30
years old and was born in Mexico, and when I was 3 years old my dad
brung me and my brothers here to Texas. I grew up out in the
country til I was 17, then we moved to the big city of Dallas. In
this city is where my life changed dramatically; on the day of August
4, 2002, is when I got arrested.
I was 29 when I got arrested. This is my first time ever being
arrested. My case went to trial in April 2003, and unfortunately
even though this is my first time ever being arrested, I was sentenced
to the harshest punishment under Texas laws, the Death Penalty.
So after being free for 30 years of my life, being able to enjoy
all the good things of the world. Now I sit here confined in a
cell thats 10ft x 7 ft, very very small. Each day that goes by is
a battle won for me, its another day that I kept from going insane.
On August 7, 2002, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and
Saviour, and I can honestly say that God has given me the strength to
overcome each day, God has given me comfort in my time of need.
Sometimes it gets real, real lonely , not having no one to talk
to. I have learned so much about life in the free world
and also life on Death Row. I am looking for a pen-pal who I can
talk about my experiences in life, and in return listen to someone
else's experiences. Here are a few things I liked to do out in
the world when I was free, fishing, walking in the park, jogging, play
football, and anything to do with nature.

Greetings,
< style="font-weight: bold; font-family: arial;">My name
is Abel R. Ochoa, and unfortunately I am writing from Death Row. I
arrived here on Death Row on May 15, 2003.
I got arrested on August 4, 2002 in Dallas County where I lived at that
time. On April 17, 2003 my case went to trial and I received the
maximum punishment under Texas Law.
I am
30 years old and this is the first time I have ever been arrested in my
life. It’s difficult for me to adjust to being in a 10ft x 7ft cell all
day, compared to being out in the free world able to enjoy the good
things in life.
It
gets very very lonely here not having one to talk to.
Here
are a few things about me. I was born in Mexico on January 23, 1973,
and my parents brought me and my brothers to Texas when I was 3 years
old, or about 1976, and ever since, I have been here. I started school
in Kindergarten and graduated from High School in May 1991. I speak and
understand very good English and Spanish.
I grew
up out in the country till I was 17 years old, then we moved to the big
city of Dallas. So naturally growing up in the country. I like fishing,
walking in the woods, spending all day at the lake, and anything to do
with the outdoors.
I
accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savoir on August 7, 2002, and
since that day I have been reading the Holy Bible. And reading it has
truly opened my eyes to the truth which is God’s word. God’s love has
comforted me in my time of need.
I am
seeking a pen pal I can write to, to share my real life feelings and
experiences I have been through and if possible receive the same in
return.
