    I am writing you concerning the case of an Illinois prisoner named Aaron Patterson (I.D.# B00567).    Currently Mr. Patterson is on Death Row,  Convicted of a crime with a distinct lack of physical evidence.

Evidence used against him included:

*        A police written confession that remains unsigned to this day,  despite a 25-hour long torture session at the hands of Chicago's Area II Violent Crime Unit.

*        A police coerced hearsay statement from a witness who has since tried to recant.

I am one of many citizens disturbed by how the justice system has treated Mr. Patterson.   We ask that your office release all fingerprint and footprint evidence in Mr. Patterson's case to his defense team so that his attorneys can have it tested.
