MISSOURI
The
Canadian Coalition Against the Death Penalty has received
the
following
requests for penpals from death row inmates in Missouri.
Jessie
Lee Wise was killed by the State of Missouri May 26, 1999.
Missouri allows
death row prisoners to receive stamps in COMPLETE
sheets or booklets only. Prisoners are not allowed to recieve
loose stamps.
CHARLES ARMENTROUT
I
was given the death penalty on March 31, 1998 in St.Louis city, Circut
Court St.Louis Missouri.
I
represented myself throughout the 21 days of trial and my direct appeal
is presently before the Missouri Supreme Court. I don't have a
picture at this time...Because of my crime, I do not have any family to
speak of and only a few friends. I am looking for someone, anyone
to write to for friendship. I am very open minded and non
judgemental. I speak my mind for the most part
and am very sincere. I love sports, and have a fantasy football
and
baseball team. I work out and like healthy people who take
care
of themselves. I am 5'9", weigh 175 lbs, green eyes, brown hair,
born
Aug 2, 1965, a Leo.
God
Bless you.

TED BOLIEK Hi There, My name is Ted. 6 ft., long brown hair,
short beard, slender and in totally awesome health. Never
married, no children. Born and raised as the only child in
Decatur, ILL. 4/15/56.
Just turned 46 years of age but if I lose the beard and clean shave it
takes
off 10 years. No, I will not cut my hair, smiles. Published
Poet/Artist. Now I want to find a woman as a friend first to bond
with, then perhaps marriage. But at 46 I know that a marriage
lasts if friendship is the beginning. My sense of humor is like
"Jerry Seinfeld" sitcom on T.V.; I love
almost all sports except bob-sledding because I'm not even close to
Canada,
smiles. My faults are none, really! If you believe this
then
your from Mars or Jupitor, smiles. I want a down to earth girl
age
between 30-45 who can just be herself and speak her feelings and
thoughts
with me as I will do the same. I love children and I like dogs
but
I am like a cat. I have the same nature and instincts as a
cat.
My family consists of a Mom and one large blue cat with white
feet.
Follow the yellow brick road and I'll be waiting for you. So I
hope
you have some red high heels, smiles. Visit webpage

CECIL CLAYTON Hello
internet surfers...My name is
Cecil Clayton, and I am a resident of Missouri Death Row. I hope
you are having a good day today. Let me tell you a little bit
about who I am. I am glad you have decided to visit my website,
and I truly appreciate it. I hope what you read on site will trul
enlighten you. The news that I bring you, along with other
things, is truly a miscarriage of justice. I grew up on a farm in
Barry Co. Missouri. I was born 04-16-1940, and I was the fifth
child out of ten. It was hard times back in the forties after
harsh depression days. And my family raised strawberries,
tomatoes, and cut wood for a living. Left my Missouri and worked
in the State of California in 1959, came back to Missouri in 1960, got
married to start a family of my own, two girls and three boys, working
at sawmilling and cutting logs for a living. Wife and I raised
our children in a Christian denomination. Children are grown and
on their own. As far as hobbies go, I can't say I have many.
For I have worked most of my life, and haven't had the time to
enjoy life's finer things, such as fishing and other outdoor
activities. Fast forward to my present situation, I am one
of the many innocent people sitting on Missouri death row. In
past years many people of society would have a problem in believing
that there are actually innocent people in prison. Currently more and
more people are coming to this realization. I will tell you now
how in
my case this realization takes form. At my trial evidence was
presented which made me look guilty. The fact of the matter if
all pertinent evidence would have been presented it would clearly show
my innocence. But due to incompetent counsel and improper
investigation, none of pertinent evidence was allowed to be presented.
Now in my appeals, due to losing everything I ever worked for, I
am stuck with state appointed public defenders who most of the time are
inadequate in any appeals process due to the fact that they are
inexperienced in this diffifcult process. I wanted to testify on
my behalf at the trial, but my attorney advised me against it.
Therefore leaving me just as much a victim of a gross injustice,
as the victim in my crime. I am now in the final stages of my
appeals process. I have recently found out that I have access to
this webpage. In
which I can appeal to those in society who care about the truth.
I
am to the point where I may have only two or three years before I am
executed. I hope there are some out there who will take notice to
what I have written on this webpage and lend me support in helping to
show my innocence. If anyone would like to contact me, I would
appreciate your correspondence. My time is short, I look forward
to hearing from you. Visit webpage at http://www.ccadp.org/cecilclayton.htm

MARK
GILL Hi...My name is Mark Gill and I am a
death row inmate in MO. I've been a C.P since March of '04, and
to be honest, I've put off writing your org for over a year,
thinking I could handle or go through this alone. Having no one
to write to makes it hard to deal with things going on. If you
could help me it would mean a great deal to me. I'm sorry this is
messy. I don't write many letters.... Sincerely Mark Gill

WALTER
T. STOREY Hello! I hope this
finds you doing well and in good spirits. This is why I am
writing to you at this time. I would like your help in finding
someone that is willing to write to a death row prisoner, in helping
get through the sometimes
rough and lonely times of being isolated from the outside world, and in
a daily struggle with fighting for his life. I guess I should
give
you some background on myself, some of my likes and basically who
I am. I have been on and off death row now for ten years. I
say on and off because I have had my sentence overturned 2 times and
working
on the 3rd time as I write this. Both times the state has
given
me the death sentence again. I can honestly say that having my
sentence
overturned those 2 times wasn't much of a change from being on the
Row.
Basically, even though technically I was no longer on the row, I was
treated
as if I were and within myself the fear of the state wanting ti execute
me
never left my everyday thoughts. I am 33 yrs old, divorced
with
a daughter from the marriage in which I have no contact with. My
immediate
family support me and do come to visit me whenever possible. I do
have friends that I write to on a regular basis, but I am always
looking
to meet and get to know different people. I enjoy trying to help
people
with their problems as I know that some have far more greater problems
than
I and to help someone with their problems gives myself a sense of
accomplishment
and self worth. I enjoy writing letters, poetry, and short
stories. I have yet to have anything published, mainly because of
the fear factor of
if I tried to get anything published, they would do nothing but laugh
in
my face. Mainly due to the fact that I am on the Row. I
enjoy all types of music, except Heavy Metal and Gangster Rap.
But anything from contemporary to country that I can understand the
lyrics I'll listen to. To break the boredom of living on death
row, I mostly write poetry, by putting my inner feelings down on
paper, but I also get out and about
by going to the gym and working out, running the track and lifting
weights,
playing softball, handball, volleyball and football. So I don't
just
sit around on my butt dwelling on my dilemma, I do get out and
exercise.
When I was out on the streets, which seems such a long time ago, I
worked
as a boat builder. I tried joining the service (army), when I was
20
years old. But they wouldn't have me, because of a broken neck I
received
when I wrecked my truck, while being a stupid kid and drinking and
driving.
So I went to work for a boart company down in South Georgia, which is
where
I am from. The pay wasn't that great but it put food on the
table
and paid the bills. I like to think of myself as an honorable
person,
by respecting others and keeping my word. If you are able to find
someone
that is willing to write, the first thing they should know is, that I
am
not a player and I will never ask them for anything of monetary
value.
All that I will ask from them is a growing friendship. I am
waiting
to hear from you. Thank you for your time, much respect,
Walter
