PRESSLEY ALSTON      I am a Hebrew - Mulatto 6'0" medium build, 170 lbs, with a brown complexion and I am seeking for someone to help me speak a new language. That language is hope.   Others may not comprehend it, but God understands it because this is what he wants to give us all.   Today's world alone does not understand such language because this world has changed.  If a baby comes from the west, they will understand a common language.  No matter what part of the world
they're from, the two of them will start to play together.  They will play together no matter what color or size they are.  I want and desire that same language with someone.  Whoever it may be that will provide this language of hope. Just as unity understands, compassion understands and that's what all of humanity needs is compassion. Moreover, If any of you are interested I believe I have a case to bring to someone's attention because of the illegal evidence (see attached) and malice of the prosecutor I  opted to waive all further appeals because of the malo animo, malicious abuse of legal process and the malicious abuse of the state attorney. The courts are deliberately keeping me out of their presence. I haven't been to court in about seven months to see a judge.  Besides, the county where I'm from leads the state of Florida in sentencing individuals to die and most lawyers seem afraid or unwilling to faithfully or adequately challenge the system. CARD Sr.  Please forgive this intrusion, but I was informed by a friend that you may be able to aid me in my hopes of finding some pen pals, to help me fill the void in my life, that has been created by my situation.  For there can be no lonelier place , than this cold sarcophagus that I'm forced to live in.  Please allow me to tell you about myself and explain my situation which I pray will not discourage any pen pals from writing to me.  Unfortunately, I am on Florida's notorious Death Row, for a crime I did not commit, and have been since February 1, 1982.  I have already been under two death warrants with two Execution dates set (1986 and 1987) but have received two stays of execution.  My full name is James Armando Card Sr.  I am of Italian / American descent (2nd generation).  I was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon, but have lived most of my life in Northern California, in the mountains and coastal regions.  I'm 5'10" tall, 170 lbs, I was born on October 16, 1946, and at present I'm 53 1/2 years young.  I enjoy opera, and theater, and have been many times to the Shakespearean Festival in Ashland, Oregon.  I also enjoy listening to the Blues, Jazz, classical, and rock and roll, depending on my mood at the time.  For hobbies, I find great pleasure in painting, (watercolors), drawing, playing chess, and composing poetry.  For outdoor hobbies, I enjoy fishing (fly fishing the rivers and streams of the great Northwest.) Swimming, hiking, snow skiing, sky diving, and long lazy walks in the mountains after a soft rain, or on quiet stretches of a beach.  My life long occupation has been that of a long haul truck driver, in which I've driven all of the lower 48 states as well as Alaska, Canada, and Mexico, at one time or another in my profession.  I am divorced, with 5 children (4 daughters and 1 son) and 7 grandchildren.  I only have contact with 1 daughter and my son.

RONALD W. I'm in here for armed robbery murder and I was offered life in prison.  But I wouldn't take it. So I went to trial, lost, and got a death sentence.  The Death Penalty is all about political gain.  These prosecutors use it to further their career.  Only 1% of murder cases get the death penalty.  If you have money you don't even have to worry about it.  If you're poor, the state will give you a bum lawyer and there's no way to win.  My lawyer just laid down.  But I really would like to find some good friends that will be there for me, and help me out, maybe come visit.  I write poems, do hobby craft, and work out in my cell everyday.  Please write, I will answer all.

                   LIFE  ON  FLORIDA'S  DEATH  ROW

In reality, Florida has three Death Rows. Fifty-four condemned men are housed in a special wing at Florida State Prison near Starke. The remaining 320 men are incarcerated in a building at Union Correctional Institution in nearby Raiford. The six women on Death Row
are at Broward Correctional Institution near Pembroke Pines.
Executions are conducted at  Florida State Prison.

                                              Here are some other facts:

       * The cells: A day-to-day  cell on Death Row measures 6 feet wide by 9 feet long by 9.5
         feet high; the death-watch cell, where an inmate is placed once  the governor signs
         a death  warrant, measures 12 feet by 7  feet wide by 8.5 feet

         * Meals: Three a day  served on trays at 5 a.m., 10:30-11 a.m. and 4-4:30

         * Exercise: Twice a week  for two hours in exercise yard.

         * Visitors: Allowed  weekends from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.,  unless visitor lives more than 200
           miles away, then visitor can visit  both Saturday and Sunday.

        * Showers: One every other  day.

        * Clothing: Orange T-shirts and blue pants.

       * Entertainment: Inmates  can have a black & white TV --  no cable -- radios, snacks and
         cigarettes in their cells. They  receive mail every day except holidays and
         weekends. Church  services available on closed-circuit television.

        * Security: Inmates are escorted everywhere in handcuffs  and many times in shackles.
