CHARLES NG My name is Charles Chi-tat Ng.  I am an Asian male of average build. I was born December 24th 1960 and raised in Hong Kong in a traditional Chinese family, but have spent the majority of my adult life in North America. I graduated from high school in England. I have never been married and have no children. I have travelled to many countries and have been exposed to many cultures.  My remaining immediate family members reside outside the United States and I am currently the only Chinese prisoner on California's Death Row at San Quentin Prison. My case, from inception to verdict, has been both a travesty and outrage of mistreatments and miscarriage of justice. Because of these and other reasons, I constantly feel misplaced, sad and lonely - like a dolphin caught inside a tuna net.  I am writing because I am interested in seeking sincere friendship through correspondence and visiting with someone I can build an enduring and meaningful companionship with - someone with whom I can share good times, bad times, life, thoughts, feelings, experiences and passions from this dark hole of humanity. Out in the free world I enjoyed such things as reading, learning new subjects, wilderness exploring, martial arts, movies, travelling, cooking, outdoor adventures such as mountain hiking / climbing, scuba diving and serving as an infantryman in the United States Marine Corps.  Throughout my life I have refrained from unhealthy habits such as smoking, drinking and recreational drug uses.  During my incarceration I enjoy such things as origami, spirituality, self-study, exercises, writing, reading and drawing.  I am a self-taught artist who loves animals and strive to express artistically with an improvisational approach in whatever medium available to me.  I always feel a special kinship in my struggle for survival as those faced by the endangered animals I depict in my artwork. To me, art is a universal emotional expression of all cultures, and wildlife art a spiritual reference for all things wild and free; and a way for me to immortalize my love and intimacy to those who are dear and special to me. Personality wise, I am quiet, shy, open-minded, down to Earth, loyal, thoughtful, dependent and sentimental, but can be wayward, overly trusting and pessimistic at times.  Life is fleeting and my fate is at best uncertain.  Therefore I desire to hear from new friends and reconnect with people who had touched my life and heart in the past, but with whom I have lost touch due to circumstances beyond my control.  I would be most grateful to be able to share the precious time I have left in this world with honest, open-minded and good-hearted people who understand and empathize with injustices, sufferings, my struggle, my visions and yearnings, and who may be able and willing to lend helping hands along the way. I am in constant contact with David Gee who lives in England and can be reached on e-mail:  david.gee5@btinternet.com   He has done a lot of research on my case and may be able to answer any questions.  In order to try and raise money for my day to day items and additional art materials I would be prepared to sell a small number of prints of any of my featured drawings. Thank you for your attention and I look forward to hearing from you. Visit webpage at: http://ccadp.org/charlesng.htm   You can reach me at the following address:

JOSEPH PEREZ  My name is Joseph Andrew Perez. I am a light skinned man of Puerto Rican and Irish descent. I ‘m 33 years young, born on September 1st, 1971 under the zodiac sign of the vivacious Virgo. I am 5`8”, weight 170 pounds and have short light brown hair and big deep sea blue eyes.
I was born and raised in San Francisco, Ca’s finest excelsior district, but as of now I’m being held hostage here on Death Row for a home invasion robbery murder. I was arrested on June 7th, 1998, but I’ve only been on the row since January 25th, 2002. Now just because I am in prison doesn’t mean I am a bad guy cause I’m really not.  My hobbies consist of writing long letters, poetry and I’m currently writing a fiction book about murder and betrayal. I love all sports and I’m a San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants fanatic. My favorite music is Reggae, Hip Hop, R&B, Jazz and a little Alternative.  I’m looking for female pen pals of any heritage, but she must be 21 years or older. Not looking for relationship, only friendship. If something other than a friendship comes out of it, so be it, nature took its course. If you’re into playing head-games, lies or deceitful please don’t respond, I’m tired of childish head-games.

CHRISTOPHER POOLE  Innocent Man Facing Execution - Wrongfully convicted and facing death at the hands of the state of California, this plight did not come without a cause. My name is Christopher Poore....My case serves as one of many examples of how the justice system is infected with fallibility. Once more, it has proven itselfunreliable, devious, and detrimental. This is the very same system, we as children were taught to respect and believe in...They have thoroughly and deliberately extinguished their respective sworn duties to protect society and moreover, continue to kill wrongfully convicted citizens. To date, I await yet another state appointed attorney to address my capital murder appeal. As you can certainly appreciate, placing my life (literally) in the hands of this state, causes me great angst and concern. As competent attorneys, expert witnesses, and private investigators are costly, and my finances are narrow and limited, the very purpose of this missive, is to humbly examine the potential indeveloping a tireless support mechanism and revenue stream to help me meet the fees associated with quality legal representation. Additionally , I can always use and certainly welcome postage, stationary, and lots of new friends to share with. As my life is on the line, time is of the essence. Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated in my pursuit of justice and freedom. Correspondence and contribitions should be mailed to me at the following address.Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon. In solidarity, Christopher.  For more information visit http://www.ccadp.org/christopherpoole.htm

DAVID ALLEN RALEY  Hello !  I hope that this letter will find you doing real good, and also in real good health and spirits too.  As for me, I am doing the best I can under the circumstances, being on Death Row...In hopes that you might be able to help me, and I truly ! hope so too...What I would like to be able to do...is to get some pen pals.  The reason my attorney told me about you all, is cause I have been having thoughts in dropping my appeals.  Cause of the same routine every day, the loneliness is getting to me etc. and sure you can understand that.  And my attorney figured getting some pen pals would help.  With the loneliness, and and help me hang on longer, and not drop my appeals.  So again anything, and any help you all can give me, will be very appreciated.  Take care, and God bless and watch over you all always...Smile!  Again, take care, and hope to hear from you all real soon too.  Sincerely,

JUAN RAMIREZ My name is Juan Ramirez.  Honestly, I'm not exactly sure what to say.  I've never done this sort of thing before, so bear with me.   I am a young man on death row, but that doesn't mean I deserve to be thrown away and forgotten.  I would like to talk - you know, share thoughts; feelings; even dreams.  It would be really nice to make a few friends.  Meet a few people who won't mind me dropping by just to say 'hi.'  from time to time.  Are you out there anywhere?  I think you'll be surprised as to how much of me there really is.  :) I even come with a smile, until then take care.

ENNIS REED  My promise to you  If you're feeling empty inside,   I'll fill your heart with favorite you-and-me stories to make you smile.    If neither one of us knows what to say, I'll sit quietly with you in the closeness we share    that need no words.    If you start to doubt, I'll helpe you find your courage again.   If the climb is steep and long, I'll hold your hand and we'll walk each step of the way together.     And if you say "who cares,"    I'll remind you   how very much I do... Poem - "I will listen to you don't quit when the tide is lowest.  For its just about to turn.  Don't quit over doubts and questions.  For there's something you may learn.  Don't quit when the night is darkest, For its just awhile til dawn.  Don't quit when you run the farthest, For the race is almost won.  Don't quit when the hill is steepest, for your goal is almost nigh.  Don't quit, for you are not a failure until you fail to try."

Self portrait by Reno
RENO  Artist with many different kinds of interests, seeks pen pals of all ages and interests - anybody and everybody from 9 to 99.  Whoever and wherever you are, regardless of your age or anything else, and whatever your interests may be, lets get acquainted and see how things go.   I'm a single / never married (at least not yet ?!? )  artist, with some college education but no formal degrees.  And while my activities are now pretty much limited to working at my art, reading, watching television, and writing letters, before I was wrongly / improperly arrested, convicted and sent here to Death Row I used to enjoy and be involved in many different kinds of activities and things that I am no longer able to participate in directly, but in which I still have an interest to one degree or another.   I have at various times had great pen pal friendships with both boys and girls in their early to mid teens (and even somewhat younger on occasion), as well as with older teenagers and adults, both men and women, all the way up to "senior citizens" in their 80's.   So whatever your age and interests, please take a chance.  You will be very pleasantly surprised.   I look forward to hearing from anybody and everybody, anywhere in the world, who may care to write to me for whatever reason.  And whether your letters are written or printed by hand, or done on your computer/keyboard and printed out makes no difference to me.  I will reply to everybody who writes me and gives me an address to write back.   You can write to me at:

RICHIE ROLDAN My name is Richie Roldan.  I'm 28 years old 12/22/70.  I'm currently housed at the California State Prison of San Quentin (death row.) The Bastille by the Bay.  Is there anyone out there who wants to know what's really going on in the concentration camp of California's death row ?  And how one comes to be in such a hell.  An innocent man's plight and adversity through a brutal and corrupt system that breaks the will of the strongest of men.  Something must be dome for those unable to afford proper representation.  I desperately along with other Latinos need help to fight a racist and biased administration that hold all our lives in their selfish hands.  I'm not sure what I'm exactly trying to say at this time.  There is so much inside of my mind, and so little time to share it to or with the world.  I know that I'm a political prisoner, and I feel there are others here with me that are fighting the same battle.  So if your eyes are seeing this then reach reach out and touch me.  Show me the world through your eyes.  I'm in solitary confinement and it seems that I shall be for the rest of my life. I must have contacts in the world . . .  And if nothing else to ease my loneliness. Visit homepage at :
